It’s time to galvanize the Tea Party!

This message is for you Tea Party member!

Whether you belong to the Tea Party Patriot’s, Tea Party.net, Tea Party Express, Tea Party Nation or any number of the other thousand or so Tea Party groups, this message is for you. This includes those of you that belong to groups such as the Faith and Freedom, Americans for Prosperity,  Anti-Abortion, Second amendment and any other conservative group you might belong too.

No speeches today. You already know the condition of the nation. You already are aware of our mounting debt, that is putting a strangle hold on any economic expansion in our country. You are already aware of Obama Care, the 47 million Americans that are drawing some sort of food sustenance and now Obama’s desire to expand and repeal President Clinton’s rollback of welfare. You are aware of Obama’s desire to gut the military and his bowing to foreign dictators. You are also aware of his zeal to enable Iran to garner nuclear weapons and his slapping down of Israel on almost a daily basis. Lastly, you are also very aware of his blatant ability to lie at every turn. Currently his television advertising in the state I live in, is nothing short of bald-faced lies and yet he keeps running them. This is the obstacle we face as Patriots to our nation.

It is time to galvanize the Tea Party nation. We need to create a unified effort to defeat this President and we need it fast! While we all love the individuality of our respective parties and we love to think of ourselves as rebels with a cause, the fact is, we must come together and create a unified front to win.

It is not just this President. We have a mayor in New York City telling us how much Coke we can drink. We have cities in California telling us we cannot smoke in our own homes now. We have the tyranny of government not so slowly gobbling up liberty faster than I can type this.

If we do not show a unified force of millions and do so quickly, I can see a time in the near future where we will not even be able to assemble and have a rally.

I am calling on all the leaders of the major groups to hold a summit. I do not care if you do this in Atlanta, Phoenix, Denver or Crawford, Texas. It is time to begin pulling these groups together. It is time to draft articles, put up officers and get this job done! We must address the attacks of the left, show a massive force to be dealt with in terms of true patriotic Americans. The day’s of just firing off emails daily, begging for money are over! It is time to put that money to good use. We need to be running nation wide advertisements supporting some of these candidates. We need to be endorsing the true conservatives and getting involved.

If you do not belong to a Tea Party, it is time to join up! It is time to stop your whining about how bad it is and get involved with a group. Support the conservative candidates with money, time and sweat. Support the Tea Party and demand that those leaders get together and form a unified front.

If you want to put the fear of God into the Republican Party America, you accomplish what I have suggested here. You want to make a difference? You tell Senator So and So that if he wants to be re-elected, he had better vote for this bill or that bill and you threaten him with 600,000 votes in his state, and guess what? Senator So and So will do what we ask of him. Same goes for Congress and at the State levels. You put up 38,000 votes in Idaho for instance, and that is a major deal. Imagine what 300,000 could have done in California? Imagine what would have happened had all the Tea Party came together in Iowa? You would probably not have Governor Romney today. You might have had Governor Palin, Michelle Bachmann, Newt or one of the two Rick’s.

Have I made my point America? It is time, now is the time. It is time to get this done!

Gun Control Back Again

Nothing new here

 The attacks started quick from the anti-gun lobby, from Hollywood to Congress about needing more Gun Control. The media immediately jumped on the NRA, Tea Party and all those who support American’s second amendment rights. We have these debates every time some deranged person kills a bunch of people needlessly and supporters of gun rights are to blame.

They rarely if ever seem to blame the shooter, especially in this case in Colorado were the planning has gone on for months. Someone who is this determined could have found another way to cause carnage if he didn’t have access to firearms.

The founders believed in everyone’s right to bear arms, why else would they include this in the Bill of Rights. Those opposed to gun rights always use the militia argument, let’s take Jason Alexanders tweet about defining what a militia is.

1-a : a part of the organized armed forces of a country liable to call only in emergency
b : a body of citizens organized for military service
2- the whole body of able-bodied male citizens declared by law as being subject to call to military service

So if we formed a national militia, everybody who owned a gun joined would that end the above argument? They would certainly find another way to destroy our rights, they never understand this a natural right that is protected by government not provided by it. The founders felt much differently about gun ownership, the felt it was necessary for many reasons.

The founders believed that arming the public wasn’t just about protecting people from invasion, it was against government itself. There are millions of gun owners, many have the AR-15 long rifle and don’t commit an atrocity like what happened in Aurora. These acts wouldn’t stop with gun control, look how well we stop the illegal drug flow in this country. Do you honestly believe that guns wouldn’t become the next great illegal market if you banned them. Then of course only the cops and crooks would have them, wonder how that would work out for Americans?

One More Thing  

I want to take about Switzerland, they have mandatory gun requirements for men between the ages of 20-42 and are trained in a militia to use them. They also encourage women as well, the right to carry and acquire guns is written into Swiss law.

Firearms are readily available for purchase, no limits to gun ownership or ammunition and carrying a firearm in plain view is allowed.

They have one of the highest rates of gun ownership per citizens in the world and are one of the lowest in the world on gun crime rates. What is the difference between our two countries that our gun crime rate is higher than the Swiss? It’s a good question, you certainly would get plenty of different answers out there. My support of the Second Amendment isn’t deterred by acts of madness, everyday someones life is saved by them owning a firearm. If you take that right away, the consequences to everyday American’s could be greater than those who oppose firearms could imagine.

Brian Ross and ABC news clearly failed as a journalist trying to link the shooter to the Tea Party before checking on the facts. Of course that has never stopped the media, facts don’t matter especially when trying to link the Tea Party to violence. This scenario was played out in Tucson, The Sheriff Dupnik of Pima County and the pundits around the country falling all over themselves blaming the Tea Party. They have a narrative against the Tea Party in the MSM and I see no changes coming from them. Remember everybody that mass shooting have been around long before the Tea Party, something else the main stream media never seems to mention.

Then once again the rants have started again, gun control, violent movies and video games as the cause for a madman’s rampage. You will get a hundred points of view about why these horrific events happen here in America. It’s certainly way to early to be predicting anything about this shooters motives, of course that doesn’t stop anybody in the media. We always see the media trying to sensationalize these events, maybe that is a statement for the short attention span of Americans.

This is of course is two-fold as the left leaning media doesn’t like the philosophy of limited government, lower taxes and their dislike of Obama’s policies or agenda. The other one is they are defenders of the second amendment, believing its everyone’s right to own a gun or not to. That the founders believed we needed an armed population to defend ourselves and against the government. Times have changed, so has weapons but you wonder if their view would be changed even by acts of madness by deranged people. The Tea Party makes signs about we came unarmed this time, by ballots or bullets change is coming and so on. Ask a Tea Party person what they prefer to happen? They simply are looking for change never hoping it comes to anything other than the ballot box, the left media conveniently overlooks this.

There has always been crazy people, there always will be crazy people and events like this will continue to happen. We will learn in the coming months whether their was signs about the shooter and were they missed by people around him. The Tucson shooting could have been avoided for the signs were there, people simply ignored them. Something happened or the signs were missed about this young man, the blame however should be placed on his shoulders. Nobody else planned this, nobody else pulled the trigger or threw the tear gas in that movie theater. Let’s keep the blame where it belongs.

The Jokers of the Mainstream Media

Brian Ross of ABC News erroneously identified the Aurora, Colorado, movie theater shooter as a member of the Tea Party Patriots. The man accused of firing an assortment of weapons into a packed theater, killed 12 and wounded 59. ABC misidentified James Holmes, the alleged shooter, age 24, as 52-year-old James Holmes of the Colorado Tea Party Patriots.

This, of course, should come as no surprise. Keen observers of the American political scene view The Tea Party as most responsible for the dramatic reversal of fortunes afflicting the Obama presidency and the Democratic Party since the midterm elections of 2010.

With the president’s political viability waning with each dismal economic report, is it any wonder that a desperate Obama-media would further impugn the growing small-government Tea Party movement?

Although ABC eventually posted a correction on its website, the lie is out and viral; I believe Ross’s Tea Party smear was intentional.

The Hitlerian big lies concerning the Tea Party will come fast and furious right up to November 6. This is just the start.

So, let’s make some assumptions about the shooter based on the facts as we know them: James Holmes was attending the University of Colorado Denver/Anschutz Medical Campus – studying neuroscience; He was described by those who knew him as a “super nice kid,” “kinda quiet” and “really smart”; and an ABC news update claims the alleged shooter “dyed his hair like The Joker … a well-known villain in the fictional batman universe.”

We have a very smart university student unable to separate reality from comic book fantasy … smart in the ways of brain science no less. Disseminating fantasies is what the modern university does so well. It does not teach students to think critically in pursuit of the truth. Instead, it teaches Progressive theology that sees as dangerous any challenge to its fragile orthodoxy. Unable to argue the wisdom of its quasi religion, Progressives demonize all challengers, declaring them heretics “outside the mainstream.”

“You see,” says The Joker in the Batman film “The Dark Knight,” “their morals, their code, it’s a bad joke. Dropped at the first sign of trouble. They’re only as good as the world allows them to be. I’ll show you. When the chips are down, these… these civilized people, they’ll eat each other. See, I’m not a monster. I’m just ahead of the curve.”

That is a perfect distillation of the moral relativism disseminated by today’s university system and a jaded mainstream media.

If the mad act of James Holmes has a trigger, it emanates from the relativist moral swamp of our Progressive age.

Under the terms of moral relativism, Brian Ross’s Tea Party slur isn’t necessarily wrong. Ross apologists can simply claim he was “just ahead of the curve.”

GOP conservatives scramble to take government shutdown off the table

If there’s going to be a government shutdown fight, it won’t be Congress’s most conservative members leading the charge.

In a bid to avoid a potential government shutdown, several of the House’s most conservative Republicans say they would be willing to go along with a six-month extension of government funding, which is currently set to run out at the end of September, at levels they’ve voted against in the past.

“This idea is going to come from the conservatives because if you listen to the Democrats, they say, ‘It’s the tea party conservatives who want us to get to a government shutdown.’ We don’t want that and we’re going to do everything we can to prove it,” said Rep. Raul Labrador (R) of Idaho at a talk with reporters on Thursday.

Is America Beyond Repair?

Unless one is reading Webster’s dictionary or a Law Review journal, someone usually wants to read something entertaining or at least to a degree entertaining. I am sure that Larry the Cable Guy enjoys reading Field and Stream, whereas I prefer Western Horseman or looking at pictures of beautiful log homes with smoke pouring out of the chimney. With that said, I am pretty sure you cringed when you read the title to this piece. I do promise to make this interesting. It might not be happy reading, but it will be interesting. At the very least, it might make you begin thinking “Maybe this guy is on to something here”.

President Thomas Jefferson once said “A revolution every now and then is a good thing“. Are we on the brink of such an event in America? The base instinct of “fight or flight” is now permeating the minds of most Americans. I do not believe for a minute that this mindset was caused by events pre-dating this President. When the terror attacks of September 11 were foisted on the American people, we came together. In my lifetime, I hadn’t witnessed such an show of patriotism since 1979, with the seizing of our Embassy in Tehran. Before that, we of course endured the great attack at Pearl Harbor. In all those instances, America was galvanized into a mass of flag-waving patriots screaming, Go get the bad guys!

This time is different. Go ask a Vietnam Veteran: What was the biggest problem you encountered in Vietnam? Most will tell you, we could not tell who the enemy was. This is the case now in America. We know we’re under attack. In our heart of hearts, we know that something is wrong. The images of our faith in our God and Country, which we so closely cherish, are being destroyed. Almost daily, you heard a news report of another cross being torn down that has stood for some 50 or 75 years as a tribute to fallen soldiers. We know for a fact that our very economic system is being dismantled. We know that our heritage as proud Americans is under attack, for our very own President goes abroad and “APOLOGIZES” for our nation intervening when tyranny was gripping a foreign land. We also know that our liberty and freedom are now officially in jeopardy. But who can these fears be addressed to? Where do we go to scream ENOUGH!

Someone posted on Facebook the other day: I’m tired of pulling up Facebook and seeing all this political talk. I don’t like politics and I don’t want to read about politics when I go to Facebook. I don’t like discussing politics and it tends to divide families. The person that posted this is in his early twenties, and emblematic of so many of our young people in America today. To add to the mix, you have a person that I am Facebook “Friends” with who’s an attorney in California. This particular person is highly-educated, a sworn officer of the court and bar in California and he is gay. In our discussion of Governor Mitt Romney versus Barack Obama, he informs me that he isn’t interested in whether or not Barack Obama is legally eligible to actually be the President of the United States. He’s more interested in whether or not Romney discloses his tax returns.

From my perspective, in my own personal little world, I see that the youth do not care what happens to our nation and another group is more interested in ideology than the Constitution of the United States. And that’s the problem! We now have a society that is split. The Old Guard– those who have fought the wars in foreign lands and seen firsthand what can happen and how good we have it in America– has split with self-serving ideologues and apathetic young people over the very survivability of our nation. This Old Guard is witnessing the destruction of our nation and screaming about it. The problem is that they are the only ones hearing the screaming.

Yesterday, when Arizona’s Sheriff Joe Arpaio came with his case against the President’s birth certificate, the other day, there should have been screams that reverberated across America. The mainstream press should have had this information as headlines in every newspaper, and the lead story on every newscast. This should have been a big of a story as September 11 or Pearl Harbor. We are talking about a sitting President who might very well be sitting illegally! Let’s be very clear here: a group of seasoned detectives have worked with some of the top imaging experts, print experts and computer systems in America. They went through this document and proved beyond a shred of doubt that it is fake. And Brian Williams and Katy Couric say nothing? The New York Times and Washington Post say nothing? America says nothing? This, to me, is inconceivable. Had this happened fifty years ago, you would have had no less than 3 million people on the Washington, D.C. Mall demanding Congress look into this.

America, what has happened to your soul? What has happened to the pride we once felt as a nation? What has happened to duty, honor and country? You have Constitutionally-sworn officers of the court willing to look the other way because of ideology over our precious legal system. You also have the youth who are supposed to carry the banner of liberty and freedom into the future, but are unwilling to even discuss the issues. I believe that we have truly succumbed to tyranny and sin. How in God’s name did we get to this point?

In my humble opinion, we are at that point I spoke of earlier– “fight or flight.” Half of our nation feels this. When this group loses the final vestiges of hope, the instinct will kick in. It is human nature. These people, numbering into the millions and millions, will rise up. There are signs that they are beginning to do so now. I hear it in the barbershop and in the streets, I hear it on Facebook, Twitter and on blogs. Americans are angry, and they are about to vent that anger. I only pray they do so at the ballot box and not on the street. Are we truly beyond repair? I don’t think so. If we believe that– well, continue to pray and continue to fight the good fight. We might have a chance. I do have to say, at this moment in time, it’s looking dicey though.

Will Covetousness Destroy America?

COVET: To desire or wish for, with eagerness; to desire earnestly to obtain or possess.

We’re all familiar with the Ten Commandments. We know they tell us not to worship other gods, don’t commit murder, adultery, steal, lie and cheat. But do you know what little old number ten on the list says?

“You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.” 

What have Unions preached in America for the last 100-plus years? I can fully agree with the “working conditions” part of their sermon. But the part that I cannot agree with is the spewing of the rhetoric that General Motors earns too much money. Therefore you, “Mr. Assembly Line Worker”, shall demand more of what GM earns, or you will walk out. You will not be happy with the $20 an hour you’re earning now, you will want $30 an hour. That is more equitable.

For the last three and a half years, we have heard Barack Obama tell us how the ugly, greedy CEOs earn too much money. We have heard all about how anyone earning over $250,000.00 a year is rich. We have heard this class warfare drivel being strewn, from one end of America to the other, about how the rich need to pay their fare share– as if they don’t pay now!

What began as a few, disgruntled folks sitting in a little park in New York City swelled to millions of disgruntled Americans. They were sitting in parks, marching down streets, throwing bricks through windows and setting fire to police cars. They called themselves the 99-percenters. They have done this in Detroit, Atlanta, Oakland and most of the major cities. They have even managed to show up in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

The common denominator in all of the above is a very basic desire of human nature to not be happy with what we have, but to covet what the other guy has.

In other words: I’m not happy with my 2002 Malibu, I want your 2010 Mercedes! You must have acquired that Mercedes through robbing the poor, or not paying enough to your employees, or manipulating the stock market. Heaven knows you could not have bought that with your money that you busted your tail for, you had to have stolen it, so I want it!

This is what the Union Bosses, this President and many throughout history have done. They have taken your basic instinct of desiring to get ahead in life and convinced you to not be happy with what you have, but to be envious of those that have more.

8 DAYS, AMERICA!

These are the numerical facts, America, according to all the Governmental Agencies you can find. Yes, I said ALL of them. Barack Obama can raise taxes on everyone earning over the magic, hated number of $250,000.00 a year. But guess what? This massive tax increase will earn us ( meaning America ) some $85 billion a year in additional revenue. The big secret is this: that tax increase will only run America for 8, EIGHT, (or any other way you want to write it) eight days. However, for that eight days worth of revenue, you have effectively put hundreds of thousands of tax-paying Americans out of work.

How many small business owners earn $400,000.00 a year? Why do I ask? Here’s the part Barack Obama doesn’t tell you: most of the people that earn that sort of income are small business owners with LLCs. The company ( ie: Owner ) pays taxes through a 1040 long form. This is the guy, for example, that owns a small welding company with four welders. He planned on hiring another one this year, but cannot do so now because of that tax increase. Or this family, which has owned Smith Tire Center for two generation in Middle America and has nine employees. Now they have to lay off one of their tire changers.

So why is Barack Obama doing this? Why doesn’t he take a page or two from Ronald Reagan’s play book on stimulating the economy toward growth?

Let’s say that your neighbor comes home with that pretty, new ski boat. It’s one thing to walk over and compliment your neighbor on his new boat. (The compliment makes the neighbor feel good and it is polite to do so.) It is quite another to walk over, look at the boat and be jealous over that boat. You begin to scheme and plot as to how to get a bigger or a better one. And of course, it is quite another thing to steal the boat and justify it by saying, ” Your boat was earned through less than honorable means”.

This is exactly what Barack Obama is telling us to do: he is inciting class warfare. He is telling the bulk of America that Bill Gates is evil because he has earned so much money. He is telling you that Ross Perot all but stole his wealth. He is telling you that Donald Trump is nothing short of a Jesse James or a Billy the Kid.

America, take a long, hard look at what Unions have done to our nation. To justify the Union Bosses to continue lining their pockets, they’ve told the workers to hate the owners. They’ve told them that they need to pillage the owners’ bank accounts. And what has happened? Most of those great jobs have gone overseas. You can’t expect General Motors to pay over $100 an hour in salary and benefits, and keep making Buicks that are affordable for the average American. Therefore, that Park Avenue is now made in Canada and that Dodge is made in Mexico. They were forced to do this because of labor cost from greedy and covetous Auto Workers’ Unions. It wasn’t so much the employees, but the bosses who went to the employee and taught them to covet what their employer had.

Covetousness will destroy America. The desire to take from Messrs. Gates, Buffett, Trump or Perot will kill American industry for good. Take the wealth from them and other job producers, and you ultimately kill the golden goose.

My suggestion to you is this: do what the Bible says to do. Be happy with what you have. It’s one thing to want to be successful, pray for it and work your tail off to get it. It is quite another to lust and covet, and then decide to take from those that have and give it to those that have not.

NAACP Furthers Mission of KKK

In the heat of passion during a radio interview, I said,“The NAACP, Congressional Black Caucus and Democratic Party are more destructive to blacks than the KKK!”

After the radio show, I thought my statement may have been a bit over the top. Upon further thought, I concluded that my statement is true. Before calling me crazy, please hear me out.

The mission of the KKK is to stifle black liberation via intimidation which is exactly what the modern black civil rights coalition continues to do to blacks. Both organizations despise self-starter, self-reliant and free thinking blacks.

The primary mission of the black civil rights coalition (NAACP/ CBC) and Democratic Party is to keep black Americans believing themselves eternal victims of an eternally racist white America. Many blacks have been successfully indoctrinated into believing every problem in the black community is the result of white oppression.

This is why the black civil rights coalition verbally brutalized black actor/comedian Bill Cosby for suggesting that blacks embrace moral responsibility, hard work and self-reliance to solve problems in their community.

This is also why the black civil rights coalition hates two of the most powerful blacks on the planet; Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. Thomas and Rice achieved extraordinary success competing without special concessions or lowered standards due to their race. The KKK shares the black civil rights coalition’s disdain for such uppity self-reliant “n——”.

As I stated, the mission of the KKK is to suppress blacks. The black civil rights coalition has assisted in the fulfillment of the KKK’s mission for decades.

Democratic Party failed-policies supported by the black civil rights coalition have destroyed the black family and sparked epidemic out-of-wedlock births. They have created fatherless black boys who run to gangs in search of male bonding. Blacks are disproportionately represented in prisons, have epidemic high school dropout rates and genocidal levels of black abortions – all due to Democrat led government intrusion.

Yes, monolithic loyal voting for Democrats has truly paid off for blacks. It would be fitting and proper for the KKK to send the black civil rights coalition a “Thank You” card for wreaking such havoc in the black community.

A black man in the White House is the ultimate symbol of America’s repentance from her sin of slavery. And yet, to preserve its relevance, the black civil rights coalition strives to convince blacks that race relations have progressed very little since the 1950s. Meanwhile, President Obama is the huge black elephant – or perhaps, I should say donkey – in America’s living room proving otherwise.

The NAACP further revealed its true colors when Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney addressed its members at their convention.

Clearly, this once-great organization, which comprised champions of civil rights, has morphed into a shameful liberal activist hate group. They do not give-a-hoot about real black empowerment. Their mission is solely to advance a far-left, liberal, socialist/progressive and anti-America agenda. The NAACP has sold its soul for a seat at its white liberal massa’s table. This disgraceful bunch no longer deserves our respect.

The NAACP called Romney offensive for speaking about family values, self-reliance, character and hard work – values touted by MLK.

The liberal NAACP audience wanted Romney to give an Obama type speech proclaiming that business owners are rich selfish SOBs! They wanted Romney to vow to punish achievers and redistribute their ill-gotten gain (earnings) to black America. Such a speech would have won Romney a standing ovation.

This is why, as a black conservative, I have disassociated myself from the evil low-rent modern black civil rights coalition. They consistently appeal to black America’s lower nature, promoting victimhood-ism, class envy and racial hatred. I refuse to be a part of such a bottom-feeding mindset.

Also, there are grave consequences associated with constantly telling blacks they need lower standards and special concessions to succeed. Such bigotry of low expectations sends a not-so-subliminal message to blacks. The message is blacks are intellectually challenged and inferior. The KKK could not do a better job of negatively impacting the self-esteem of black Americans.

Further insulting blacks is the black civil rights coalition’s argument that requiring a photo ID to vote will disenfranchise black voters. A photo ID is required to board an airplane, cash a check and do a host of other things. But somehow, acquiring a photo ID is too challenging for blacks. It appears the KKK, black civil rights coalition and Democratic Party all agree that blacks are just not as smart as whites.

The black civil rights coalition and the Democrats have a cow when conservative Republicans bring up morality. Romney’s ONLY path to Victory!

If I were advising Governor Mitt Romney, I would strongly suggest. Sir; Take 5 minutes and read this!

For weeks now, the two candidates have been locked in a near head to head battle in the mid-to-high 40′s in the polling. They are both about to spend in excess of $1,000,000,000.00 carpet bombing America’s airwaves with advertising that say’s the other guy is nothing short of satan in the flesh. All for what? They are both after that elusive Independent voter in the remaining 10-15% that is not committed.

On Rush Limbaugh’s radio show yesterday, he made a couple of comment’s that struck me. They struck me for a couple of reasons. The first being, these are many of the same comment’s I hear from Tea Party faithful on a regular basis. The second, Rush actually gave the blue print to the Romney camp on how to win this if they heed the warning. Rush Limbaugh’s comments were as follows; (paraphrased)

In 1992, the mantra was “It’s the economy stupid”! Today with all of Obama’s food-stamps, nearly 2 years worth of unemployment checks, free cell phones and so much more coming from Obama, Americans are not suffering the way they were in 92. Americans have a roof over their heads, food in their stomach’s, cable television, Internet and they are happy. Even though the economy is much worse today, Americans are not feeling it as badly. Romney camp, read that statement, then re-read that statement! Rush Limbaugh is 100% correct.

The point being made here is this. Governor Romney; If you keep up with the “He said, she said” regarding Bain Capital, Jobs leaving America, Taxes on the rich versus middle class, then we lose! It is that simple. You are not going to win the Environmental vote, the Gay vote, the Entitlement vote nor the Right to Choose vote. You can spend $12 Billion and you will not win those votes. Obama is not going to win the Right to Life vote, the Liberty loving vote, the Small Government, Second Amendment nor Strong Military vote. On this we can all agree. Those are your 45-45% voters that have committed. So who is left in the middle? They are the INDEPENDENTS, IE: The Tea Party conservatives!

Who are the Independent’s? The Independent’s are those that usually support Ron Paul, Christian Coalition members and hard-core Conservative Republicans that burned their Republican voter cards in the last election.

I have had hundred’s of hours worth of conversation’s with these people. Governor Romney, they are NOT supporting you for a couple of reason’s. HOWEVER, you can win their support with a couple of statements, if they’re heartfelt and they believe your being honest with them. Make no mistake about it Governor, these voters are the difference in this election and you had better give them a reason to get to the polls other than just thinking, “They don’t have anyone else to vote for”. These folks will write in Sarah Palin, Ron Paul or Shamu. They vote on PRINCIPLE! Let me be clear here Governor; They number in the millions upon millions and they are the difference in victory and defeat.

So why do they not like you? They feel as though you’re a RHINO. They view you as soft and they certainly do not like your record on abortion, taxes, health-care and gay marriage in Massachusetts.

At this point in time, I am going to speak to the Governor Romney camp in terms of a Christian Brother to another Christian Brother.

Dear Governor Romney: I have given you the problem, now I am going to ask you a very poignant question. Yes, it is rhetorical. Are you a devoted Christian? Knowing that your an LDS member and have even been a President of your Ward Church ( similar to Pastor/Deacon etc. ), then I am going to assume you know the Bible very well. As well all know, one of Christ requirement’s for us, is to repent of our sin. I know that your church requires this of its members as well. Part of repenting of this sin is to admit that you sinned and ask forgiveness of that sin. Here is the question; Are you willing to go on national television and say My fellow Americans, I know that when I was Governor, I did sign some pieces of legislation that today, I look differently at, than I did back then. I am so very sorry that I signed them and I ask your forgiveness for doing so. I promise that I will never support abortion again, nor am I supportive of Gay marriage.” 

The fact is this Governor, the Pro-Abortion crowd will not support you anyway. The groups from Planned Parenthood are already running advertising supporting Obama. The Gay and Lesbian coalition is very obviously not going to vote for you. So who’s votes are you losing by doing what I suggested above?

My final piece of advice is this. Pray about this! Pray hard, and if in your heart, you can look into the camera, be honest with yourself and be honest with America, then do this and you win. It is that simple. But if the Tea Party gets one small whiff of you not being totally sincere, then you have lost the election. Now is the time Governor. Are you truly sorry for supporting abortion? Are you truly sorry for encouraging and supporting Gay marriage? If so, then I highly recommend you take my advice, for you will NOT win without the support of these millions of principled voters. The economy is simply not enough to win.

Lastly, call Obama what he truly is. Call him a liar! Do so politely, but do it! Be John Wayne/Ronald Reagan. America is desperately searching for another Ronald Reagan/John Wayne. We want morality, honesty, integrity, the conviction and courage to state it plainly and we want our American advocate back.

America’s Top Conservatives Politically Battle-Ready To Defeat Obama’s Tyranny

On July 4th I co-hosted the Campaign To Defeat Obama Telethon. http://www.campaigntodefeatobama.com/ We raised funds to wage campaigns in four states which Obama won last election, Wisconsin, Ohio, Michigan and Nevada. Our goal is to win those states delivering 50 electoral votes to Mitt Romney. Patriots across America responded well making the telethon a success.

I thought it might be interesting to share a little behind the scenes info with you.

After the broadcast, a few of our staff who were taking donations over the phones said they were shocked at the number of hate-filled emotion driven idiotic calls from Obama supporters.

Obama brain dead callers expressed outrage that we would dare oppose America’s first black president on Independence Day. A caller said, “I’m gonna find out where that traitorous n—–, Lloyd Marcus, lives and kick his a–! I will go to a tea party and punch him in the face!”

Obama callers were equally vile expressing their anger at Dr Alveda King, niece of Dr Martin Luther King, Jr. for her appearance on the telethon. An Obama caller absurdly claimed Obama was responsible for Dr King and I having the freedom to be on the telethon. Another Obama caller said if Republicans had their way, African-Americans would still be slaves. Patriots, can you believe they believe such nonsense?

Black Obama zombies who have a knee-jerk hatred toward black conservatives such as Dr Alveda King are particularly frustrating. These Democratic Party indoctrinated blacks believe any black who does not scream from the rooftops, “I am a victim!” must be a traitor to their race.

While in reality, black conservatives are true heroes, advocates of “real” black empowerment via education, hard work and self reliance. MLK would turn over in his grave upon learning that such values are considered too high minded, too much to expect from blacks and a turn-off in the modern civil rights movement.

Dr Alveda King is laser focused on her life’s mission to protect innocent unborn babies. Black babies are aborted at a genocidal high rate — more than any other ethnic group in America. So why on earth do black leaders side with cheerleaders of abortion and seek to destroy Dr. Alveda King? Stupid black supporters of policies which harm blacks called into our telethon trashing Dr King.

Some Obama supporters called into the telethon inquiring, “Is this where I call to vote for Obama?” I kid you not folks. These clueless, ignorant, racist and lazy people make up a large percentage of Obama’s base. I pray there are more of us than them in November.

Our telethon was packed with so many top conservatives who wished to chime in that we were forced to reduce some interviews down to two minutes to fit everyone in before the end of the program.

Our distinguished guest list included David Limbaugh, Herman Cain, Dick Morris, Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Pamela Gellar, Judson Philips and Melanie Morgan just to name a few.

I was thrilled to hear a common theme which dominated the telethon. Conservatives across America are well aware of the seriousness of the situation in which we find ourselves as freedom loving Americans.

They realize the dire consequences of Obama having a second term to fully implement his vowed “fundamental transformation of America.” A second term for Obama would mark the end of America as we know it.

America’s top conservatives are united in their commitment to defeat this evil tyrannical enemy-within threatening our great country. Obama MUST be a one term president.

Judging from the number of Obama supporters who called our telethon accusing us of racism, media attacks calling us racist and threats on my life for daring to be a freedom loving black patriot, clearly the old and tattered “race card” will play a prominent role in Obama’s reelection campaign.

Think about that folks. For the first time in U.S. History, we have a president we are not allowed to disagree with or criticize in any way. Those who dare oppose King Obama will suffer the pain and humiliation of having “racist” branded on their forehead by the White House and Obama’s mainstream media enforcers.

Patriots, we cannot and will not be silenced by their absurd baseless accusations. You MUST remain bold and fearless Americans, standing up for truth, justice and the American Way!

And God will continue to bless the United States of America.

Some time ago, a lady that visited here from Laguna Beach has raised a question. How does one manage to fill a weekly column? The response was that the problem is –thanks to the self-induced crisis of our self-doubting culture – an easy one. The difficulty is not finding a theme but to decide what to skip. Your correspondent has dozens of pages filled with ideas tagged to become the subject of future columns. The list lengthens menacingly while its “gems” are superseded in favor of new urgencies. This aspect of the job has again manifested itself. This unplanned presentation derives from having attended an event.

That event was a “town meeting” where the writer resides in Switzerland. The urge to write had to do with breaks during which ballots were counted in the otherwise openly voting assembly. Not having much to do can have effects. One is to sink in stupor or to scratch in the manner of our hairy primates. The other is to become inspired. In this case, that reaction has been facilitated by used envelopes that held the voting material. If you have paper and time, all you need is an idea. A perceived parallel to the USA provided the “missing link”. (Since the Gettysburg Address, texts on the back of envelopes raise expectations. Safely, the promise can be made that the standard set by Lincoln will be missed here.)

As far as the writer can tell, Switzerland is the only place where the observed form of direct democracy prevails. This practice is institutionalized on the local and the national level of government. The custom is of long standing and not an innovation, which it might become elsewhere. Especially the local control of the decentralized state machine is a remnant of the Middle Ages. Insinuating a negative and disqualifying implication, this is a fact that the Left likes to emphasize. Marx, their hero, might have seen the liberation of man in the ultimate “atrophying” of the state. His astute followers have discovered the uses of the state. Professional government work pays well. After all, those serving determine not only the taxes they can distribute as bribes to secure their jobs, but also decide the bureaucrats’ share of it. Just imagine a business that can determine its own revenue! Furthermore, it is through the state machine that policies are implemented. In translation, some ordained measures might be unfit to get majority approval. Nevertheless, the government’s coercive instruments and propaganda monopoly can make the reluctant and silenced patients swallow bitter pills.

By now, you might have guessed how the town meeting, direct democracy, and the implied applicability of self-governing citizens might come together in an idea that spans the Atlantic. With the American context in mind, it was a “natural” to connect on the envelope the evening’s exercise and some aspects of the US’ Tea Party movement. Frankly, the ritualistic condemnation of direct government in the media –the writer consults besides magazines, about eleven dailies- induces sympathy. That does not necessarily include total agreement. Certainly, as is the case of any large association of humans, some of its members would reject several of the writer’s views. The reverse would also be true. If you have a mind and a personality, you will never fit fully into any group with a point of view that is harder than putty.

The Tea Party is a movement that asserts, respectively reasserts, a popular right. In a nominally federal context, that right is challenged by incremental centralization, which makes it into a popular revolt against a reversible trend. In part, the endeavor also expresses the alienation of the awakening masses from their “leaders”. The program is to bring the power back to the people and to give government by participation a new dimension. Good government has been too singularly associated with a quality that only guarantees that immature subjects will be well administered. Thus in practice we talk about “being governed by”. That is in some ways a humanized and improved version of the despotism that Western Civilization (sorry if the term insults some) removed once the Enlightenment unfolded. One hears some Europeans regretting that their 450 million are not “allowed” to express themselves, as do seven million Swiss. This makes one sense that, the emergence of a new democracy that seeks to take power back and searches for ways for self-government, might be dawning. The evidence created by the TP supports the notion. It also suggests that direct democracy’s use might not be limited to small countries as its detractors like to suggest. (“It might be a good system but it is not practical…”.)

In its activities, the TP is experimenting with the practical application of a right, which is inseparable from membership in a free society. The inquiry is about the intention to go beyond the limited freedom that limits us to have a voice in which fraction of the elite will be mandated to determine our life. Here, however, a reminder is due.

It is a conservative principle, and as such, a dictate of reason, that freedom’s rights are earned and confirmed, through demonstrated responsibility. This implies a burden. Direct democratic movements cannot be better than the quality of their members. What is called “quality” here is not only a moral stance but also a honed competence to judge in debt the matters over which the citizen has to decide.

The recommended moderation, information, evaluation and, by implication, self-restraint, affirms that those that cannot control themselves are condemned to be controlled by others. Freedom depends on the ability to assess soberly implications and nuances through continuous self-improvement. The constructive application comes down to avoiding the lot of American history’s “Know Nothings”. The point is that being convinced is not enough. Knowing about our immediate surroundings and the larger world beyond is the pre-requisite of winning debates held beyond the circle of those that are already convinced. If the TP can internalize these traits while it determinedly engages in the political process that corresponds to its growing weight, it will be successful in harnessing the wind of a trend. Politics is the art of doing and advocating the possible in acceptable terms. In the pursuit of shaping a new reality, this old wisdom can deteriorate into a trap. That danger is that the principle can be exploited to justify corrupting compromises. At the same time, ignoring moderation opens the door to crucifixion in the pursuit of impractical fantasies that preempt the advocacy of problem solving visions.

Scrapping ObamaCare AND the IRS: Here’s Your Blueprint

This is an article that you’re going to want to spread far and wide! Copy the browser address, paste it in an email and send it out to everyone you know. Post it at Facebook and in every newspaper that will allow it. It’s our only hope, America! 

According to Cha-Cha, the information website on (supposedly) everything, the great novel Moby Dick is 864 pages long. Wikipedia claims that War & Peace is 1440 pages in hardcover form. Each of these great classic novels were written long before radio, television, I-Pads, I-Phones or the Internet. The point here being if someone wants to read one of the above, they should be prepared to sit on the porch for the better part of the summer and drink gallons of lemonade while doing so.

Former House Speaker Pelosi said it about as eloquently as she could when she informed America, ““We have to pass the [health care ] bill so that you can find out what is in it.”

Nearly two years later, we now know that after 2700 pages we are the proud recipients of new government bureaucratic red-tape the likes of which we have never seen before. We are the proud owners of twenty-two new taxes, government controlled-everything regarding our health– and now the Congress can do pretty much anything they desire, if they call it a tax. Side-note: You do realize that this will now allow the Federal Government the ability to control your hot dog and Coca-Cola intake, right? Add smoking, drinking a beer, eating a hamburger or visiting Taco Bell on your lunch hour, too. They will now be able to instruct that you must have the benefit of a mile-long walk every evening, or you pay a fine for not doing so. NO, I am not kidding, America. Look at New York City and their Mayor Bloomberg. The process has already started, with the banning of Big Gulps. In the Big Apple, you’re now restricted to 16oz Cokes.

Your mission to save America is as follows: Once you’ve finished reading this, send it to ten friends on the first day, then they’ll send to ten friends on the second day. If 100 of you do this, within one week these instructions would have made it to some ONE HUNDRED MILLION mailboxes. WE CAN ACCOMPLISH THIS!

After the Supreme Court’s June 28th ruling, I contacted a fellow I know named Craig Bergman.

Craig and I have agreed on many issues in the past, but we’ve also had some very fiery discussions on topics we disagree on. The one thing I will have to take my hat off to Craig about, is his vast knowledge on issues such as this one. Craig’s political experience goes back to the Jack Kemp campaign for President. He cut his political teeth on that campaign and has been active in Conservative causes and politics ever since. His resume for political and government knowledge can be traced to five Presidential races, six Gubernatorial races, eight U.S. Senate races, dozens of Congressional races and numerous state and local races, in nearly every state.

The bottom line is this, Craig would be the perfect person to contact if one wanted to know how to actually get rid of this monstrosity of a health-care bill. I called Craig today and began asking questions.

According to Mr. Bergman, what really has to happen is this. Currently sitting in Congress is a bill with sixty-eight coauthors. It strips the Federal Government of the ability to tax citizens individually, and turns over all individual taxing authority to the States. In this bill, the United States Congress could not set and implement income taxes any longer. In other words, it would repeal the 16th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. Craig makes the point that for the first 140 years or so, our nation had no Internal Revenue Service or Federal Income Tax. They were not imposed on America until ninety-nine years ago.

What would happen if a bill like this is implemented?  You (The American Citizen) will pay much lower in taxes, for one thing. It’s much easier for the good folks of Iowa to walk into the Capitol building and confront their Representative, than it is to walk into the U.S.Capitol and do so.

It would be easy for me to write an entire seven-page long essay on this topic. Here’s what I want each of you across the fruited plain to do. Visit a couple of websites, listen to a couple of programs in which Craig explains (in very concise detail) what needs to happen to implement it.

America, this is our only chance to stop something that will destroy our nation. Make no mistake about it, America. THIS OBAMACARE BILL WILL DESTROY OUR NATION BEYOND RECOGNITION!

Follow these instruction carefully:

2. Find and join a great organization that’s representing you, and donate generously! We are working hard to get this done. www.restoringamericaproject.org OR www.americansforprosperity.org  Both of these organizations are going to battle on your behalf on many issues like this one that are stripping you of your liberty.

3. Contact your Congressman, and tell him or her that you want them to rally support for this bill. Once there are enough votes to get it passed, you want them to bring it to the floor for a vote. Tell them that you demand your Government be given back to the people. If they do not want to do this, you will work tirelessly to defeat them in the Mid-Terms.

4. Get involved! Pass this on, keeping in mind the math from earlier in this article. Without you, the American people, nothing happens. Don’t expect your neighbor to do something first! You do it, and set an example!

Together, America, we can return our country to how our Founding Fathers intended it to be. Get busy, America! Get involved, donate some money, join an organization that is involved and pray hard. It can happen, but it won’t without it starting here. Remember every journey begins with just one step. This is your step!

Lloyd MarcusWe just returned back home to Florida from my wife Mary’s family reunion in Maryland. Mary and I are an interracial couple. Before consenting to attend, I asked my wife of 35 years, “Will there be anyone there who is going to give me a hard time?” Mary replied, “No, they’re all dead.”

The reunion was wonderful, over one hundred in attendance. When God said be fruitful and multiply, Mary’s family took God seriously. Kids were all over the place swimming, using the water slide, enjoying the feast of food and deserts and having a ball.

Cousin Jimmy started cooking the hog, head and all, on the grill at 3am. The pork was cooked to perfection. Add a little of his favorite barbecue sauce and you are in heaven. I do regret allowing Jimmy to talk me into tasting the hog’s snout. For the sake of my stomach, I must change the subject.

Aunt Carol is the family historian. She and her sister, Mary’s mom, Eleanor traced their family tree back to 1625. Aunt Carol’s brief report was fascinating.

Mary’s sister Donna was reelected president of their family reunion. Donna announced big plans to have next year’s 50th reunion catered at a resort. Everyone was excited.

Mary and I received the award for traveling the most distance.

The reunion included an auction. Melanie, Mary’s sister was extremely entertaining playing auctioneer. Billy out-bid everyone to win a beautiful hand-carved bird for his mom, my Mary.

Everyone was warm and friendly. Mary’s mom and dad were genuinely glad to see me. The younger family members were not taken back by me, a black member of the family. They simply did not care about my race.

While I was the only black at the reunion, I heard I am no longer the only black in the family.

It was a great day and I ate too much.

While in Maryland, I visited my family. My brother David has coached well-integrated youth football teams for many years. He has noticed that kids think very little about race. David said when we were kids there was black music and white music. Today, black and white kids basically listen to the same music.

A friend who works in shopping malls has witnessed an abundance of multiracial families. It appears Dr Martin Luther King’s dream has come true. Blacks and whites are walking together in brotherhood.

So, who keeps stirring the waves of discontent, making “race” a big deal? Answer, the mainstream media, politicians seeking to exploit race to get-their-way and those seeking to get-paid. Disgusting!

Once upon a time in America

Bobby walks with a limp. He’s short of stature, with grey hair. And at the ripe old age of ninety-three, you’d expect him to be frail. But Bobby’s handshake is strong. He still loves to laugh, and there’s a twinkle in his eyes. One of the great joys in his life happens every week at Jack’s house.

Last year, I was invited to join in. Several afternoons a week, I have the honor of playing poker with a group of American Heroes. That’s how I met Bobby, Jack, Gerald, Gus and Dennis. (Several others come and go.) Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 1:00pm, we all gather in Jack’s basement for a friendly card game. Now, I wouldn’t call the stakes huge– we generally bet twenty-five cents. Everyone playing brings a roll or two of quarters for this big shoot-out.

I am, by far, the youngster in this crowd. At age fifty-four, they tell me I am still wet behind the ears. Besides myself, there’s Dennis–a very spry sixty-eight. Everyone else is in their early eighties or older.

So, why am I writing an article about a group of seasoned citizens who play poker a couple of days a week?

Once upon a time in America, our nation was blessed to have a huge segment of its population, millions of men and women, with the character, honor, dedication, self reliance and decency that these gentlemen possess. It’s not surprise to me why Tom Brokaw wrote his book
“The Greatest Generation”.   

 

Dennis, Gus, Bobby (and a couple of others) still volunteer weekly at the Lions’ Club, VFW and their churches. I know this because I’ve purchased more than one ticket from them for pancake suppers, when they’ve asked around for fundraisers. (It seems like it’s a different charity every week.) Dennis, at sixty-eight, spends many days transporting seniors to and from Des Moines, Iowa, for medical treatment. Gus helps his friends, family and anyone else that needs him; he does a wide array of tasks, from the smallest chore to mowing the lawns of folks who don’t own a mower.

Even with all of this activity, NONE of these honorable gentlemen do much complaining. Sometimes, they mention the few aches and pains that they have.

Contrast this with most of America’s citizens today. The Occupy crowd sits in our parks, terrorizing many of our citizens on topics such as, “The government should give me this or that”, ”Exxon execs earn too much money”, ”Bill Gates is too rich”, and ”I owe on my mortgage, somebody else should pay it off for me”!  Our society has been transformed from one centered on dedication and hard work, to one that’s full of people who think they’re ” OWED ” something.

Here’s a Life Lesson for anyone under the age of forty: YOU ARE NOT OWED ANYTHING!

From time to time, some of my friends tell me about their experiences during World War II, while serving as a Marines in the South Seas. Hey OCCUPY! Try wearing full uniform on a 110 degrees Fahrenheit island with extreme humidity. Try eating out of a little can while sitting in a fox hole, with bullets flying over your heads. Try feeling the fireball from a bomb exploding all around you. Try doing this for weeks on end with little (if any) water or food. Try doing this with a bullet in your leg. Try doing all this, while getting paid less that $40 a month!

America (referring to most of the younger America), you have no concept of the price the older generation paid, for you to sit on your collective asses in the middle of street someplace and gripe about what is owed you.

You have no concept of the pain these men went through for you to sit in your recliner, play video games and expect to be waited on. You have no idea of what it feels like for you to have your best friend have his chest shot up and die in your arms while blood drains from his mouth! They went through it all, so you can sit on your butts and expect somebody else to pay for you to go to a college, protest, smoke pot and eat pizza while listening to music blare that is not really music at all. Usually, it’s some ghetto rapper ranting on about raping a woman and shooting a cop.

I have a suggestion, America.  Once upon a time, we had people that knew the meaning of hard work. We had citizens who knew that nothing in life comes free. We had people who knew the gratification that only comes from giving of one’s self for a higher cause. They knew the pleasure that is garnered from doing something without expecting anything in return– other than someone saying thank you.

To my friends Bobby, Gus, Gerald, Jack and Dennis, I say: Thank you. From the bottom of my heart, I say thank you for teaching me the grace by which you all have lived your lives. You taught me what true sacrifice is, what devotion to country looks like. You’ve taught me about devotion to causes that are truly worthwhile. I understood when you put in the amount of work you did into fundraising for the Lions’ Club, so that children that cannot afford glasses could have them. That’s what God intended for us to do. Thank you all for being you. It is more than an honor to know ” The Greatest Generation”!

You might be wondering why I called these honorable gentlemen from our Greatest Generation heroes at the beginning of this piece. It’s because they are.

Reagan Foretold: The Day Freedom Died in America.

I read the following Ronald Reagan quote later in the day after the Supreme Court shockingly declared Obamacare constitutional. Reagan’s insight sent chills down my spine. Was he a prophet or what?

Reagan said, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”

Brothers and sisters, the day Reagan warned us about has arrived. June 28, 2012 freedom was ruled extinct in America. God help us.

My heart is heavy and my controlled anger runs deep. I can not and will not surrender my country to the evil dictator in the black Iron Man suit without one heck of a knock-down drag-out political fight.

I am going to blog until my fingers bleed. I am going to tea party across America as many times as necessary. I will double down passionately using my vocal, songwriting and speaking skills to save my country.

I encourage each and everyone of you to do the same – use your gifts, talents and passions to defeat this man who believes himself above the law and the Constitution committed to destroying our great country and reshaping it in his image. ENOUGH! ENOUGH! ENOUGH!

A relative asked me to phone him to discuss the racism of the Tea Party. After hearing the Supreme Court’s horrific cave to Obama, I thought it best not to call today. My tolerance level and patience for stupid, racist and ignorant idiots is solidly at zero.

While I share your frustration, pain and sorrow, this is no time to say screw it and throw in the towel. We can, must and will defeat this Leviathan attacking our country from within. The Bible says evil spreads itself as a powerful huge oak tree, but its roots are shallow and weak.

Patriots, our roots are powerful and deep, securely planted in the good soil of truth, honor and righteousness. And yes, I believe God is on our side.

Obama’s evil army (mainstream media, the democrat leadership and his idiot deadbeat supporters) appear powerful. They are not. Their foundation is built on lies and deceit which is sinking sand.

It is time to pull out all the stops – kick our activism up to the next level. What did that chef use to say? Oh yeah, he said, “Bam!” whenever he kicked the favor up to a new level.

Every patriot must continue doing their part, but on a new level. No effort is too small. Gov. Scott Walker illustrated what one committed conservative can achieve. Together, with all hands on deck, we will defeat this vile anti-America dictator in November.

The November election will mark the beginning of us winning numerous elections needed to restore our great nation to Ronald Reagan’s shining city on a hill.

“Thank you, SCOTUS. This Obamacare ruling fires up the troops as America’s eyes are opened! Thank God. This proves to be such an unsettling time in America as we undergo the fundamental transformation that Barack Obama promised he would do to us if elected. This is not an answer to America’s health care challenges. It’s time, again, for patriotic Americans to rise up to protest this obvious infringement on our economic and personal freedom. The U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to uphold the health care law will further polarize the presidential and congressional elections.

Guess what: The tea party will be very, very upset about today’s action.

It will be louder than ever.

But will it be stronger and more influential than ever? That’s what we really don’t know right now.

Here’s what the Tea Party Express said today.

Here’s one reaction, asking for an investigation of Justice Elena Kagan.

And we’ll be seeing a lot more of this kind of defiance.

Thursday’s decision is going to give the tea party’s supporters a great chance to reach out to gain more allies to rally against the re-election of President Barack Obama.

We will see a lot of very mad people in the next few weeks and months, going around complaining about the court’s decision, complaining about Obama’s victory and demanding that Congress repeal the Affordable Care Act.

The tea party will ramp up its fundraising activities, railing against an “activist court.”

The tea party’s backers will declare that they simply must get more ultra-conservative men and women elected to Congress this fall.

The biggest goal will be taking over the Democratic-controlled U.S. Senate.

But in light of the court’s decision, is there a possibility that all the furor over the issue will actually die down, as states and elected officials move on to the important work of serving the American people by putting the law in place?

Naive, huh?

Rep. Maxine Waters is up to her old Tea Party-hating tricks again.At a speech to fellow Democrats in Denver, the California congresswoman said Republicans are waging a war against women and relentlessly attacking President Barack Obama, the Denver Post reported. “We cannot allow the opportunities that America stands for to be eroded by those who simply want to bring this president down,” she said, according to the Post. “After a good night sleep, I wake up the next day, and I say, ‘Come on, Tea Party, let’s get it on.’”

Waters is the target of a House Ethics Committee inquiry into allegations that she attempted to facilitate federal bailout financing and do special favors for a bank when her husband had stock in the company worth about $200,000.

Op-ed: And so we wait…

This week should be quite interesting as ‘We the People’ sit and wait with baited breath for the Supreme Court’s ruling on the disaster known as ObamaCare, and also on Obama’s immigration enforcement policy.

It’s logical for us to assume that those on the Court must either endorse Obama’s policies in full or strike them down in full as unconstitutional. It’s a logical assumption on our part because at oral arguments both cases were presented under a specific banner based on Constitutional provisions, and the Constitution is quite clear in its meanings.

But notice I used the word ‘logical’ when it applies to ‘We the People’ and NOT when talking about those who rule in Washington. It seems that most times logic flies right out the window with anyone who must decide anything that goes against the wishes of Barack Hussein Obama.

So even though ‘We the People’ want a cut and dry ruling AGAINST both ObamaCare and his immigration enforcement policy, there is another possibility that many on our side have overlooked, and that is that the justices could very well try to straddle both sides of the fence. This would allow some parts of both policies to stand while throwing out other parts, thus allowing both sides to claim victory.

And that would be the ultimate sellout of the American people.

While the Supreme Court truly values and demands silence from all concerning upcoming court opinions and rulings, some word has leaked out (or could this be just another of the famous DC diversionary tactics) that the Justices might very well strike down ObamaCare in its entirety, and also rule that Arizona (and other states) can indeed arrest and jail ILLEGAL immigrants. Now that would be the right thing to do but again, do those in Washington always do what’s right. Again, the answer must be NO they don’t.

In simple terms, the ObamaCare ruling boils down to one thing and one thing only…can Congress, under its power to regulate commerce, require citizen’s to buy health insurance. Personally, I don’t believe they can.

Before the Court, Team Obama argued that in reality the mandate was NOT commerce but was actually just a tax law and as such was indeed backed up by the Constitution (Article 1, Section 8, Clause 1, the Taxing and Spending Clause, “Congress shall have the power to lay and collect taxes…to provide for the common defense and general welfare.”), and as such must be ruled Constitutional.

But does the federal government really have the power to mandate (force) people to buy something they don’t want. Again, I don’t believe they do but then I’m not a lawyer, just someone who’s using common sense and common sense tells me that by forcing this mandate on us what Obama’s really doing is raising taxes, something he and his legal team have claimed over and over that this bill does not and will not do.

Yeah, like we can ever trust Barack Hussein Obama to tell ‘We the People’ the truth about anything.

But what happens if the Justices do just strike down the mandate and leave the rest of ObamaCare in place, where does that leave us. I’ll tell you where it leaves us, it leaves us in the toilet is where as Obama will gloat that his changes to healthcare, albeit without the mandate, still will allow the expansion of Medicaid for the so-called poor (can you say ILLEGALS), thus allowing him to say he’s providing better medical care for millions of Americans. Yeah, even more care for his ILLEGAL hanger-ons is what this will do as the rest of us are forced to pay for it.

And horror of horrors, if the Justices vacillate and only strike down the mandate, the so-called ‘death panels’ and rationed medicine would stay in place. This alone should convince the Justices that straddling the fence is NOT an option.

Now as to Arizona’s immigration stance, at question is when the police stop someone can they legally check the immigration status of those stopped, and can they then detain someone found to be ILLEGAL or does that power rest solely with the federal government. Here again the justices could very well water down their decision on the basis that state law conflicts with federal law in the fact that states still have the power to decide whether to hold or release someone who breaks their individual state laws.

Decisions, decisions…I wonder which way they’ll go. Will the Supreme Court Justices side with ‘We the People’ and the Constitution or out of fear of the race card being used against them, will they cater to the man who is determined to lead our country down the path to socialism…or worse.

It should be an interesting week for sure.

Is Barack Obama the “Enemy from Within”? Yes, Domestically And Globally!

Today’s announcement that Hosni Mubarak is now gravely ill and apparently on his death-bed prompted me to remember the events of last year. I remember vividly turning on Fox News around 5:30am, clutching my cup of French vanilla/breakfast blend coffee. I was greeted by an incredible scene– thousands of Egyptians in the streets, rioting/protesting. Four or five hours later, I also recall the White House held a briefing with Robert Gibbs (the then-Press Secretary). I honestly cannot remember which reporter asked him the question, but it went along these lines: Mr. Gibbs, can you tell us who or what group is behind these protest in Cairo? The response was simply, “No.” Next question, please.

Less than two hours later, our fearless leader himself appeared in the White House press room. From the podium, he informed the world that The United States of America supports the students in Cairo. This statement, of course, prompted me to have a wagonload of questions. Who truly is behind this very obviously-orchestrated uprising, since it is on such a large scale? How can this President speak with such conviction, when only hours ago his staff claimed to be in the dark? Why would this President throw a thirty year ally like Mubarak under the proverbial Greyhound Bus, then proceed to back over him?

In hindsight, I truly believe the answer is now sitting in front of us– like the two ton elephant in the room.

First I will just say it, then I will give you what I believe to be irrefutable evidence. You be the Judge and Jury!

President Barack Hussein Obama is a Muslim!

There, I said it. Now I will back it up with the facts to prove it. This can no longer be a matter of conjecture. There simply is too much evidence. On the surface, to be candid, it would not be a big deal that he was a Muslim, if he loved America and her allies. But the evidence shows otherwise. Barack Obama, in my opinion, is an enemy of not just our state, but half (or more) of the world. To make matters worse, he’s using America’s might to further his Anti-Colonialism beliefs.

By stating that America was behind the Egyptian students, Barack Obama in effect, instantly cut the heart out of Hosni Mubarak. Mubarak was the one man who kept the Suez Canal open so that Europe didn’t freeze or starve to death. He kept peace and stability in the Middle East by maintaining a very large military. He kept all the treaties with Israel, and never once did any saber-rattling (at least not that I am aware of). Can the same be said for Those who were really behind those riots/protest that overthrew the Mubarak government? What Obama has done is give one of the most strategically-vital countries in the Middle East to a group of Muslim thugs.

Why would Obama do this? Why would anyone purposely give away Egypt to the Muslim Brotherhood? Remember now, this group is the grandfather to Hamas, Hezbollah and Al Qaeda. These guys support and fund all of those Anti-Israel and Anti-American folks who burn our flag while chanting, ” Death to America”! There isn’t time or space to give all the reasons, but I’ll reference a great book that will provide them for you. I don’t normally plug a book, but this one defines Barack Obama’s thinking quite clearly. Let me assure you, this guy is bad news for America and the rest of the free world. Go out and purchase ” The Roots of Obama’s Rage” by Dr. Dinesh D’Souza.

In the last two years, Lebanon, Tunisia, Libya, Yemen and now Egypt were seized by The Muslim Brotherhood. In every case, Obama stood by and watched. He watched as Syria turned into a burning ash heap. And now of course, we know that our old friend Vladimir from Moscow was involved in that human fiasco. Obama has allowed the maniac in Iran to all but acquire nuclear weapons, while listening to him tell the world what he was going to do with them.

Returning to our shores, let’s now take a look at President Obama’s domestic policy. He has essentially shut down our own ability to pump oil. Again, keep in mind that we have a thousand-year supply. In the middle of a major recession, he didn’t just compound the fuel problem– he more that doubled our prices, further crippling our economy. He allowed our nation to run for nearly four years now without a BUDGET! He gathered the nation’s best economic minds to the White House early in his tenure, then threw all their collective advice out the window. And now we learn that he is pushing to allow the military budget cuts to take hold. Do you have any idea what a 40% cut in our military funding is going to do to America? It’s going to crush our military capabilities, which it now appears is exactly what he wants.

Obama has imposed such stringent regulations on banking in America that he is effectively crushing that industry as well. He has allowed the EPA to attack our farming and ranching industries with a massive club. He has gone after Christianity unmercifully, and has plunged a knife through the heart of the health care industry with his ObamaCare. He has piled trillions upon trillions of dollars worth of debt on our grandchildren’s children.

For me, there is only one explanation for this sort of treatment of our nation and our friends. Every word of the D’Souza book is true. This man does in fact hate America, a basic tenant of his true faith. His minister in Chicago has stated that he knew Barack Obama was a Muslim. Barack Obama is on a quest to harm not just America, but Britain, Israel and all of the descendants of the British Empire. This man must be stopped before it is too late. I truly pray that we are allowed to have elections this November. With the course we’re currently on, I now doubt this will even happen.

Small Town Tea Party Patriots

I just returned home from Tea Party Express national bus tour VII – picked up mail from the P O box, petted Sammy our greyhound who was excited to see me and enjoyed listening to Mark Levin rant on the radio.

Later, relaxing on the sofa, I reflected back to the tour. Obviously, the highlight was June 5th in Wisconsin when Gov. Scott Walker won the recall.

What I found most charming and symbolic of the grassroots spirit of the tea party was our “whistle stop” in a tiny little town called Englewood, Florida.

A whistle stop is not a full-blown scheduled rally with sound equipment, sound engineers, staging and etc. Whistle stops usually consist of our tour buses arriving at a decided location. Our team, (speakers, singers and entertainers) does a brief meet and greet with the patriots. Then, we get back on the buses and head to the next city on the schedule for our rally.

The crowd of 50 or so flag waving patriots who greeted our buses in Englewood was extremely excited and enthusiastic. When I stepped off the bus, my eyes focused on a woman jumping up and down in the crowd. She was excited to see me. I ran and gave her a big hug. The crowd cheered. It felt like a family homecoming.

Our buses parked in front of a little storefront which was their tea party headquarters. “Take Back America” was printed in big block letters on the picture window.

Our Tea Party Express team hung out quite a while enjoying the fellowship.

Since this was only a whistle stop, the truck hauling our sound equipment did not accompany us to Englewood. Our sound guys were on their way to the next location preparing for the rally.

Sensing the enthusiastic vibe of the crowd, a staff member dug in a storage bay under one of our buses and found a small sound system with a microphone attached. This allowed our team to take turns addressing the fired up grateful crowd.

My brief speech encouraged Englewood patriots to continue doing what they are doing. Gov. Scott Walker taught us a powerful lesson – one bold, truly committed conservative can make a huge difference. Gov. Walker’s victory has embolden governors across America to take on the unions and reign in unsustainable insane spending. Hopefully, I inspired patriots with the knowledge that their books, songs, phone calls, letters to the editor and etc all matter. Keep doing your part and we will defeat the evil, racist and divisive Obama administration in November!

Hanging out with the small town Englewood patriots reminded me what the tea party is all about and why our dedicated Tea Party Express team does what we do.

The Jeb Bush Time Warp

It’s clear that Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s recall victory sent a shiver up the spines of Progressives in both political parties. Democrats fear they’ve lost the title “champion of the little guy” by siding with oily union bosses over their dues-paying thralls. Progressive Republicans fear Walker’s victory is proof that the Tea Party tsunami that swept many of them from power in 2010, might sweep many more out to sea in the years to come. Bipartisan Progressivism is losing its credibility in America.

But there are a few notable holdouts.

“Ronald Reagan would have – based on his record of finding accommodation, finding some degree of common ground, similar to my dad – they would have had a hard time if you define the Republican Party – and I don’t – as having an orthodoxy that doesn’t allow for disagreement,’’ said former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush to a New York gathering hosted by the Bloomberg financial news organization.

The disgusting orthodoxy of bipartisan Progressivism created a financial crisis, brought about bank and auto industry bailouts and initiated unprecedented currency-killing interventions by the Federal Reserve. Today, the average American family has seen a 40% decrease in their net worth. This is the sorry record of “finding some degree of common ground, similar to my [“read my lips, no new taxes”] dad.”

The smokescreen of our bipartisan economic disaster provided cover for a megalomaniacal demagogue to gain power and attempt the radical reordering of America’s founding principles of ordered liberty, forcing a totalitarian health-care law down the nation’s collective throat. “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste,” said the demagogue’s former chief of staff.

Jeb Bush wants Republicans to forget all this, put our blinders on and help President Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid build a better America.

The man is a monumental meathead.

The good news is that few outside the mainstream media – who promote him – are listening.

Blue State Wisconsin proves that. 

Compromise is killing America. What frightens men like Jeb Bush is a Tea Party movement whose orthodoxy is liberty. There is no compromising with those who would destroy our political and economic freedom.

And the tangential water-carriers for the Democratic Party are noticeably frightened by a movement that threatens the cozy power-sharing arrangement now killing our country.

The Tea Party Confusion on National Security

Elements of the Tea Party concerned with the nature of liberty and the disintegration of Constitutionally limited governance have been hijacked by an ideologically paranoid sentiment. While Tea Partiers are rightfully wary of government nit-picking in economic and personal affairs, some libertarian and anti-war members have linked the same caution to the only role in which government is Constitutionally justified to act—national security. Whether the matter is radical Islam or cyberspace, any attempt by the government to expand the net of surveillance to the civilian population is lambasted as opening the door to tyranny. In particular, the May 17th WSJ article “Tea Party Terror Flakeout” noted that tea partier Justin Amash wanted “to bar the U.S. Military from capturing, detaining, or interrogating any terrorist of any nationality captured on American soil.”

Without even taking an ideological position, it should be obvious that preventing the military from pursuing a terrorist on our soil is absolute insanity. If our military travels across the globe to capture and detain Taliban members, so they can find and stop their plots to launch attacks, the Left screeches that we are imperial oppressors out for blood. If our military doesn’t move at all, and detains a vetted Taliban member in America, libertarians screech that with such power any American citizen could be forcibly detained. Does it take a genius to know that both positions are dangerous and naïve? What is the point of our national security forces except to pursue threats wherever they go, and whoever they may be? How can anyone anticipate whether the next jihadist plot will be designed by a person living in Qatar or New Jersey? In both sentiments, from the Left and some libertarians, lies a serious flaw of reasoning when it comes to the Constitution and the role of a national military force.

Tea Partiers understand the gist of the Constitution, and yet people who join or sympathize with the Tea Party charge that there is some Constitutionally limited condition to the federal government and its role in national security. Such a notion is entirely false, as the central executive position of the Presidency also entails the role of Commander-and-Chief and the primary authority to detain enemy combatants. Detention is not a testament to tyranny or unjust imprisonment. In fact, detention is crucial as a tool for both gathering intellgence and making sure the detainees do not return to aid the enemy during wartime.

Of legitimate concern are the instances in history where the powers of the Presidency were abused and the definition of “combatant” redefined to encompass unvetted civilians—such as FDR and the Japanese internment camps. The finagling of words by FDR and the legitimate powers of the Presidency are two different matters, however. In Korematsu v. United States (1944), instead of upholding the Fifth Amendment, and without any constitutional basis, the Supreme Court approved FDR’s unfounded decision for all Americans of Japanese descent to be placed into internment camps simply because of their race, rather than any legitimate national security threats (if individuals were associated with an enemy during wartime, the vetting process and detainment would be a legitimate executive power, but this was not the case). The activist Court justified enslavement based upon their own fallacious opinions and with complete disregard to the clear language of the Constitution. With this example in mind, right-leaning opponents to neoconservatives should recognize this historical stain as an instance of judicial activism rather than military overreach. In fact, the process of military protocol would probably have done more to prevent such an injustice from taking place by properly vetting and releasing the civilians.

The danger of modern politicians redefining the terms of the Constitution should be taken seriously, but the same concern should not inhibit the necessary duties of the military. The Founding Fathers and authors of the Federalist papers—Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and John Jay—explicitly countered the view that the Constitution enables the creation of a miltary establishment, regardless of the paranoia that the neoconservative view necessitates a breach of constitutional principle. As Alexander Hamilton said in Federalist No. 23, the Constitution does not give the federal government too much power to manage national interests, and on that matter the federal government should have as much flexibility and power as possible to defend the country. The insight of this thinking is clear in 2012, as new threats linked to technology and new power dynamics force our military to adjust considerably.

The thought that U.S. citizens are breeding a threat by supporting military efforts ignores the necessity of a reasonable, efficient security for liberty and free enterprise. Many people forget that the Navy and Coast Guard are significant for protecting commercial vessels and ships that transport food and other products. Since piracy is far from dead, people can only traffic their wares legally and safely when they are guaranteed protection on the sea.

By its very nature, the rule of law and national defense is coupled with the allowance of maximized liberty. A land-based example is the situation of a family living in a gang-infested neighborhood. With the sound of gunfire outside and bullets coming through the windows, how freely do you suppose those people can walk outside and do anything at all, even in their own homes? Such people are literally hostages living in fear. The Founding Fathers emphasized the importance of a republican establishment to prevent such a lifestyle, since the rule of law is the basic protection a citizen has against the crimes of someone else.

On a national scale, our military is no different—they act as the law enforcement that specifically protects U.S. citizens from the large-scale plots individual states cannot handle separately. The proponents saying that U.S. citizens who receive training from the Taliban should be tried in civilian courts surely do not have good intentions. There is a detailed vetting process that specifically determines whether the individual “is part of or supporting forces hostile to the United States or coalition partners, and engaged in an armed conflict against the United States.” (Rasul v. Bush). An individual determined to not be an enemy combatant is released by the military, so by all means, if there’s nothing to hide, there’s nothing to it. Unfortunately, radical Islamic jihadists are being tried—and briefly released—from civilian courts. The recent example of Terek Mehanna, a Massachusetts resident who plotted to attack the Natick Mall after receiving training from the Taliban, is a case in point. “Mehanna and the co-conspirators had multiple conversations about obtaining automatic weapons and randomly shooting people in a shopping mall, and the conversations went so far as to discuss the logistics of a mall attack, including coordination, weapons needed and the possibility of attacking emergency responders,”, the Justice Department said. He will still be quite young and healthy when he is released. If a second 9/11 happens and he ends up being one of the bombers, I’d like to see if the idiots who had him tried in civilian court will blow it off or admit that they let off a serial murderer. That’s not a fault of the justice system, that’s the fault of people who do not trust the military court system to properly handle a situation that was clearly in their jurisdiction.

The onus is on those with an ingrained bias against the fair judgments of our military leaders, and a paranoia on the nature of law enforcement. For some, this assessment is made with a misunderstanding of the relationship between individual liberty and law enforcement. For others, the deliberate delegitimatization of law and the military is contingent with the goals of anarchy and Communism.

Communist leader Leon Trotsky seethed that conservatives are “constantly…interested in the maintenance of ‘order’ in every corner of the terrestrial globe”. Indeed, anarchy—the motto “All Walls Must Fall”—is directly related to the destruction of the current order, and a subsequent replacement by “revolution”. With this idea in mind, the categorization of “anarchy” as the extreme right is completely false. Anarchy is not an end to itself, and it does not reflect a dissatisfaction with government—it represents a desire to overturn the rule of law and call for a radical dismantling of society. Such an outcome suits the sentiment and agendas of socialists and Communists who call for “global governance” and “a new world order” and openly condone violence as a means of “revolution”(which has been on full display recently with OWS attacks on banks). Following along the same lines, it shouldn’t be surprising that the same people who call for anarchy, socialism, and Communism, are the same people who want to “off the pigs” and have a specific agenda targeting police and legislation they deem “unjust”. A “right-wing” person by definition believes in the two necessary components of conservatism—the rule of law (the res publica=republic) and the defined role of the government as stated in the Constitution. The presence of a constitutionally limited republic defines the mindset of libertarians and conservatives alike. Order and security are intrinsically tied up in a belief in the constitutional republic, and pure opposition and violence, notwithstanding legitimate arguments concerning crime and lawlessness in law enforcement and the courts, show anarchists to be true vessles of the radical Left, not the Right.

A Tea Partier who truly understands liberty and the Constitution should also understand the role of the military and law (as it is properly applied). Representative government cannot be met when even instances of fair play are deemed unconstitutional, and proponents of liberty need to understand the primary conditions that liberty requires.

Celebrating Liberty Festival Updates: 06/09/12

Had some major changes:

As with life, all things change at times. This past week was no different. I had my weekly phone chat with our crew on the ground in New Mexico, and found out that the Festival times must change. Why? It turns out that when “Yours Truly” started planning for this grand event, I had neglected to think about overhead lighting. I also forgot that you guys might not want to eat three squares at a county fair-type event. All right, so whip me with a wet noodle. My main man Jim and I had a conversation something along these lines:

Jim: Hey Ken, have you thought about the fact that if this fireworks event manages to go off, when the event has concluded thousands are going to be walking back to their cars in the dark?

Ken: Uh, no, hadn’t really thought about that, to tell you the truth.

Jim: Might want to! Let me throw this out for you, also. You’re aware that New Mexico is currently suffering from some rather major forest fires and there is a burn ban going on? And while I am sure the crowds will welcome the giant turkey legs, the funnel cakes and hot dogs, do you think they really want them for lunch AND supper?

Ken: Obviously, I love hamburgers, funnel cakes, deep-fried Oreo’s and such. But alas, you’re probably right.

So, our esteemed Event Coordinators have decided (probably for the best) to scrap the fireworks idea and return the event to a daytime affair. I will say that if (and only if) New Mexico somwhow has a great monsoon season with plenty of moisture, this could change. But any fireworks would literally be a last-minute miracle. How about this: let’s leave the fireworks to the political speakers this time! I’m sure that with what Obama said this past week regarding the private sector doin’ “just fine “, Joe The Plumber and company can find plenty of bombs to throw on that little topic alone.

I want to also throw out some huge congratulations to Congresswoman Heather Wilson on her primary victory on June 5. I would have to guess that New Mexico probably likes Heather– her margin of victory was only 40 points. Well done, Congresswoman.

To Jeff Byrd, our resident and future Congressman with a cowboy hat and the Baxter Black thing going on, I say: Well done to you, sir. You pulled off something akin to the ’69 Mets victory. My hat’s off to you for your victory over Mr. Rick Newton. Jeff did the right thing, shaking every hand in Northern New Mexico, eating at every fried chicken fund-raiser and answering every voter’s question. He did this not once but twice, and it paid off. His campaign was the classic definition of grassroots.

I do not have it confirmed yet, but my guess is that you all will get to meet and visit with Heather and Jeff at the Celebrating Liberty event. I do hope so. I know them both, and they’re very gracious and both have a great sense of humor. Don’t you just love campaign season? Even candidates who aren’t in the best mood will come out and talk to you. They’ll still smile and shake your hand…Got to love it!

Under the radar:

Seems we are having trouble finding my Ferris wheel I wanted. Shucks! I am still on the trail for one. If I have to build one myself, I want my Ferris wheel…If anyone knows of anybody with one, please do drop me a line.

This is important and I want to say it again. PLEASE, PLEASE do not think we don’t have big political names coming to this event. WE ARE NOT at liberty to publish them yet! Yes, they are coming! The very high-profile speakers, as a rule, typically don’t issue press releases or inform event organizers until two weeks out. They will give us what is known as a “soft confirm,” just for our organizing purposes. However, even that can’t been published until two weeks (and sometimes less) out from the actual event. Yes, it can complicate the planning of events like ours, but that’s the way it is.

I wanted to cover that because I’ve received inquiries about who and who will not be attending at the festival. Take, for example, Governor Romney. We will most likely invite Governor Romney to speak, if his campaign is agreeable. This event is coming off the Republican National Convention in Tampa. He will have a running mate then. Let’s say– hypothetically– that that running mate is Senator Marco Rubio. If we invited Governor Romney today, they will say no for a couple of reasons. The first being, the selection of Rubio would not have been published this yet. They might very well decide that sending Rubio to our New Mexico event is a better strategy that sending the nominee himself. See what I mean? This is why they do not confirm this far out.  Don’t panic, New Mexico. I promise that we will have a great lineup of power packed speakers!

“Vote Early and Vote Often!” Really? RAP is poised to change that practice

As they walked down the steps of Independence Hall after the Constitutional Convention of 1787, a lady asked a venerable, old politician, “Doctor, what form of government have you given us?”

He replied,”I have given you a Republic, Madam, if you can keep it.”

That politician, as you probably know, was none other than Benjamin Franklin.

The greatest threat to our republic is a corrupted electoral process. This isn’t a matter for debate. Not when the signs of it are everywhere: The New Black Panthers intimidating and harassing voters, thousands of folks (some of them disceased) voting two, three (or more) times. We have a serious problem. According to many Attorneys General across America, organizations like ACORN assisted illegal voters to participate in the 2008 elections. And it’s well known that Barack Obama stole the state of Ohio in that election, too.

Florida’s Attorney General and Secretary of State recently began purging their voter rolls– they simply wanted to clear the deceased voters from the records and certify that those remaining were legally able to vote. For their pains they received a cease and desist order from our corrupt U.S. Attorney General, Eric Holder. Yes, he’s decided that he wants dead people to vote in Florida. Holder also claimed that trying to take illegal people off the voter rolls is racist.

We all know what happened in Philadelphia during the last election. The New Black Panthers stood on the steps of polling stations, thumping their bats in their hands and intimidating white voters. Although charges were brought against these men and they pled guilty, the then-new Attorney General ordered all charges dropped. The result? These thugs got away with felony voter intimidation.

That’s what we’ve seen happening all across America in recent years: countless instances of voting infractions occurring. We can’t allow this to stand! As a nation, we must insist on an honest and fair electoral Only American citizens should be allowed to vote.

The simplest solution to this dilemma is implementing a standard Voter ID law in all 50 states. Currently, seven states require voters to produce an ID when voting. It only makes sense: we’re required to show an ID when writing a check, using a credit card, purchasing alcohol or boarding an airplane. So why, if Holder’s intentions are honest, should requiring a citizen to show a photo ID when performing the most sacred duty we have as American citizens be questioned?

Restoring America Project Super PAC has committed to getting a voter ID law implemented in every state. Will it be easy? NO! This battle will be a hard-fought and a very expensive one. Basically, we know that it will take a couple hundred thousand miles on the road, thousands of meetings with State Senators and House Members. It will take hundreds of meetings with Secretaries of State and Lieutenant Governors.

Here’s the good news, though– seven states down leaves only forty-three more to go! Iowa, for example, is very close to joining those seven states. Its State House recently approved voter ID legislation; the Senate voted it down– by only one vote. But Restoring America Project believes that we can win the two Senate seat needed to gain a majority, this November, with a bit of work and money. Once this happens, we’ve been told that in the next session, the bill will pass and Iowa’s governor will sign it into law. Chalk up another state for the ID program!

Restoring America Project is devoting the next four years to battling on your behalf, America. Like you, we want to prevent illegal voters from casting ballots in our elections! We don’t want a system corrupted by the ballots of deceased voters, or legitimate voters being intimidated by thugs at the polling place door. We want every voter to go to the polls in the confidence that their ballot will count. We as voters have a sacred right to feel that confidence, since millions of Americans died to allow us to do so!

Over the next year, we will be traveling extensively to meeting with lawmakers. When necessay, on your behlaf we’ll strong arm those who don’t see our point of view. And we will support the opponents of any lawmaker who doesn’t believe that we need Voter ID laws. Yes, we’ll get tough on anyone who refuses to defend our Republic with laws that protect our elections.

Celebrating Liberty Festival and Joe the Plumber:Update 6/3/12

America’s Favorite Plumber made it official this past week. Joe Wurzelbacher aka “Joe the Plumber”, who confronted then-candidate Barack Obama on wealth re-distribution and became a household name, has decided to run for the United States Congress. The part about running for Congress you already know. Joe announced that months ago. Here’s the brand-new part of this story: ” Joe the Plumber will be speaking at the Celebrating Liberty Festival, in Moriarty, NM”!

A quick side story about Joe
Last year, I met Joe at the Des Moines, IA, airport. I had to run out to the airport to pick up Mr. Herman Cain, who was then working Iowa pretty hard for their upcoming caucuses. We had a Tea Party rally that day on the steps of the Iowa Capitol in downtown Des Moines. As Mr. Cain walked from his private plane to the airport building, I glanced over at a fellow standing beside me and asked, “Who is that with Mr. Cain?”. Joe the Plumber, was the answer. I got a chance that day to speak with him on a litany of topics, everything from Obamacare to taxes, even a bit about foreign policy– mainly, how badly Obama was handling Israel and the Middle East.

It took about twenty minutes for us to arrive at the Capitol. I’ve got to take my hat off to Joe and Mr. Cain for one thing. They had come from the balmy confines of Georgia that day, with no idea it was going to be 31 degrees out with a stiff breeze coming out of the north. They only had their sports coats and dress shirts with them. Poor Joe and Mr. Cain suffered through our Des Moines “Iced Tea Rally”. But did either one have a derogatory word to say about that frigid experience they endured? No! Tough is an understatement. These guys are tough! In contrast, I wore goose down, and donned gloves. Even I was cold. But those two gave rousing speeches about Government over reach and the stupidity of Obama’s spending practices, and shook every hand with grace.

One last thought about Joe. During this campaign, you have already heard the elitists say quite a few nasty things about Joe. I have zero doubt that this will continue. What are they saying? Joe is not smart enough to be a Congressman. WRONG!

He brings something that is sorely missing in Washington, D.C. these days. I call it Horse Sense! Right now, we have hundreds of people with Harvard degrees up on Capitol Hill. We have PHD’s running out our collective backsides in everything from Political Science, Economics, Health Care and a roster of other topics. And what have we as a nation gotten for all this brilliant education? A $16 trillion-dollar debt, a screwed-up health care system, national borders with more serious leaks than the Titanic and countries around the world that hate us with such passion that my limited vocabulary cannot begin to describe it. We also have a system so broken and corrupted that no one knows how to repair it.

To sum up, here’s what Joe provides:

3. Horse Sense that rivals genius in many ways. See, “Joe’s Horse Sense” is not horse sense at all– it’s Burro Sense. Let me explain.

Burros are actually smarter than horses. While horses are pretty smart, burros are wise. There’s a very good reason why burros are used at the Grand Canyon to traverse the steep cliffs when you ride to the bottom. Burros watch carefully where they place their hooves. Bet you didn’t know that, did you? Burros also watch what they eat. They rarely over-eat, just until they are full. Afterwards, they sun themselves or take a nap. Burros are also wise about their own safety. They group together to fight off coyotes and other predators.

How does this all relate to Joe? He’s run a business, knows how to paid his bills and his taxes. He votes and acts like a good citizen. When was the last time you heard of a sitting, career politician in Washington doing any of those things? Joe balanced his budget! Has anyone you know with an office address on Pennsylvania Avenue done that lately?

James Madison, John Adams, George, Thomas, Ben and the rest wanted us to send citizens to D.C., not lawyers or “really smart people”. This is the reason why. Joe is intelligent, but his is just Burro intelligence.

Personally, I think we ought to send about 350 more Joes to D.C. and get this mess cleaned up. How about Harry the Electrician or Ben the Pipe-fitter? Heck, I would even settle for Larry the Black-Jack Dealer or Sally the Car Salesperson.

Under the Radar:

This past week we started our email fund-raising efforts. Yep, I don’t know exactly how it’s going yet, but I do know that we’re trying to raise about $200,000.00 to put on this little weenie roast. After that, we’ll be able to do more of them: Iowa, Ohio and Colorado. You noticing a trend here? These are all major, swing states. Look at Ohio, where Democrats have been stuffing the ballot boxes with dead people’s votes . And Colorado, which has been invaded with California liberals. We’ve got our work cut out for us!

Republicans never had a better chance to put a solid conservative onto the ballot and into the White House than we did in this year’s Republican Primary Elections. We had all of the pent up energy from the TEA Party Movement that has been building for the last three and a half years. There were also the thousands of local 912 groups that have sprung up all across America since the election of Barack Obama in 2008. Not since the peanut farmer from Plains Georgia, Jimmy Carter, has there been such a firestorm of discontent raging in America. And not since the Presidential campaign of Ronald Reagan has there been such a level of excitement and enthusiasm re-invigorating the Republican Party … and all for what? Mitt Romney?

In spite of all of the good intentions, in spite of all the best laid plans of mice and men, the best that the TEA Party Movement could produce was a rather limp fisted moderate by the name of Mitt Romney. When the oath of office is finally administered to him on January 2, 2013 and I can assure you that it will be, he will repeat after Chief Justice John Roberts the following thirty-seven fateful words, “I Willard Romney do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.” He should probably add four more little words to his oath, but he probably won’t. Those words are “so help me God”. He is going to need God’s help if he is ever going to fix what is wrong with our country.

How did the TEA Party Movement become so badly derailed? How did we get so far off the track? Just as four rotten years of Jimmy Carter produced the resurgence that led to Ronald Reagan, I would have guessed that these last four abominable years of Barack Obama would have resulted in something far better than Willard Romney. So why didn’t it? Who pulled the plug on the Conservative revival in America? Who threw the switch that shunted the TEA Party Train onto another track? How did conservatives ever allow ourselves to get so sidetracked?

In the early days of the TEA Party Movement there was just pure, raw, unbridled energy in opposition to President Obama’s progressive agenda. At some of these initial rallies there were organizers and organizations whose job it was to try to harness all of that energy and enthusiasm, and try to focus it in a particular direction. The trouble was, that it was a direction of their own choosing, not necessarily ours. These national groups received a lot of their funding and their direction, not from the typical discontented members of the TEA Party, but from a different group of disenchanted opponents of President Obama’s agenda.

These national organizations quietly and efficiently went about gathering hundreds of thousands of signatures and eventually millions of signatures, and they provided the logistical and technical help to the growing TEA Party Movement, along with recognized leaders who would soon be doing more than just infiltrating and providing support to the Movement. They would soon be directing the charge. This transition was seamless and it went almost unnoticed. The trouble with this was that the goals of these national organizations were not always the same as those of the average disgruntled TEA Party goers. The direction that they were taking us was not always in sync with where we wanted to go. The agenda and the direction of the TEA Party Movement were no longer being set at the grass roots level, by a majority of disenfranchised patriots. The operational planning of the agenda moved from the streets to the executive boardrooms, and it became perfectly obvious that it was being directed from above by a rather limited subset of very wealthy individuals. It is doubtful that the energetic masses of alienated conservative voters who attended the TEA Party rallies and these exceptionally wealthy individuals that are behind the national organizations would agree about very many things, including the focus of the whole movement, and about specific Republican candidates in particular. That soon became painfully obvious.

Michele Bachmann was the original TEA Party candidate and the obvious and deserving choice. However it was soon clear that one national organization preferred Hermann Cain, and another preferred Ron Paul. Soon Newt Gingrich and Rick Perry threw their hats into the ring too, and they had a different group of supporters and followers who were all claiming that their guy was the real TEA Party candidate. And finally there was Rick Santorum, who was never really the TEA Party candidate of first choice, but who only became so after all of the other so called conservative candidates had either shot themselves in the foot, or spent their entire political wads battling one another and cancelling each other out. That’s what actually happened…

Can One Be Truly Black and Patriotic?

Famed TV minster Bishop T. D. Jakes said when your “perception is off”, you do not realize or appreciate the true value of what you have until you have lost it. Is it fair to say that, in general, black America’s perception is off regarding their country which is, in reality, a tremendous gift from God?

Some may think me insane for suggesting that it was a blessing for my ancestors to be betrayed by fellow blacks, sold to white slave traders, separated from their families and shipped to a strange land to be slaves. But please, hear me out.

Interestingly, black America’s journey to fulfill their destiny parallels with that of Joseph in the Bible. Joseph was betrayed by his brothers, separated from everything he held dear, sold into slavery and taken to a strange land. While the Bible says Joseph had great favor with God, Joseph suffered greatly including spending 13 years in prison for a crime of which he was innocent.

Through a series of divinely orchestrated events, remarkably, Joseph became a ruler of the very land which once enslaved and unfairly imprisoned him. Joseph was second in command to the King. Here is what the Bible says about Joseph brothers’ betrayal, “They meant it for evil, but God meant it for good.”

We black Americans were betrayed by our African ancestral brothers. They meant it for evil, but God meant it for good.

And yes, blacks have suffered greatly in America. My 84 year old dad’s heart still bears deep scares from racism he experienced in his youth. When dad was a young Merchant Marine, while on shore-leave down in the south, whites tried to lynch my dad solely because he was “colored”. Dad’s white fellow shipmates rescued him, saving his life.

A point which is often overlooked and deliberately ignored by the Race Industry is that God has always provided a remnant of good, decent, mostly Christian white people to assist blacks in their struggle for liberation and equality.

The Race Industry which is for the most part fueled by the Democratic Party would have you believe all black progress in America has been achieved in-spite of and void of any assistance from white America.

While in reality, white Americans have assisted in every major black achievement. Blacks are only 12% of the population. Therefore, Obama could not have been elected without millions of white votes. Oprah would not be “Oprah” had she not been embraced by millions of white viewers.

American blacks are tremendously blessed to live in the greatest land of opportunity on the planet – for all who choose to go for it! And yet, I sense that most blacks consider it somewhat traitorous to their race to be patriotic. They possess an extremely tragic and destructive false perception of their country.

Black America, this is your country! A lot of white folks died along side blacks to give you the freedoms, opportunity and prosperity you enjoy today. During slavery, it was illegal to teach blacks to read. Still, white Christians taught blacks to read the Bible. It has been said that white slave owners also gave blacks Bibles to keep them in check; referring to the scripture, “Servants obey your masters.” I say, they meant it for evil, but God meant it for good.

Here is my response to Rev. Wright.

Tell me another country where a black kid from the hood who uses deplorable English, profane language, demeans women, calls for violence against the police, wears his pants down below his butt and raps about how racist America sucks for blacks, can become a ga-zillionaire; critically acclaimed by sycophant whites in the music industry.

Just as God elevated Joseph to ruler of his once torturous strange land, blacks are rulers in America. From the highest office in the land to multimillionaire entrepreneurs, blacks are rulers in America; the same shores on which they first arrived as battered, bruised and abused lowly slaves. Praise God!

What burdens my heart is that it appears the Race Industry has been successful in creating a “false perception of America” in the hearts and minds of many black Americans.

White Christians, you have had our backs in the past. I pray that you will come to our aid once again. Please pray for Black America. Pray that their eyes be opened to see the greatness of America – God’s wonderful gift to them. I pray that many more of my fellow blacks will boldly and sincerely join me in saying with great pride, I am an American!

President Obama Gay Marriage is not a Black Thing!

It is becoming increasingly difficult to escape the left’s in-your-face aggressive campaign to make homosexuality normal. Flipping through the channels, I caught a lesbian scene (two women kissing) on the Lifetime channel. The SiFi channel has a new series in which bi-sexual scenes involving the lead actress are a main staple of the show.

For crying out loud, I can not even get ideas to remodel my patio without homosexuality forced in my face on the Home and Garden channel. A homosexual couple is featured on most, if not all of their series. Given that gays are less than 2% of the population, clearly Home and Garden network producers are pushing the gay agenda.

And make no mistake about it folks, the left is extremely cunning and aggressive in their quest to make homosexuality considered normal – equal to heterosexuality. Heck, the left believes bisexuality is more enlightened and superior to both.

The left’s indoctrination of our kids regarding homosexuality begins in kindergarten. Kids are taught Heather having two moms is really cool. As for us old farts, they simply bully us into submission. They put us in a political stranglehold with our arms bent behind our back; apply painful pressure until we yell, “OK, OK, homosexuality is normal!”

Now, every time I deal with the topic of homosexuality, liberals go crazy! They cuss me out and say I hate gays. I do not. As cliche as this might sound, some of my closest friends and family, who I love dearly, are gay. But loving someone does not mean one should be forced to approve their behavior.

Calling the opposition “haters” is a tried and true effective tool of the left to get-their-way. If you disagree with government forcing taxpayers to fund abortion against their religious beliefs, the left says you “hate” women. If you disapprove of the president ignoring the Constitution to implement his Socialistic agenda, the left says your disapproval is really “hate” for a black man. If you say gay civil unions are fine, but marriage should remain defined as one man and one woman, the left says you “hate” homosexuals. The left actually exploits our sense of decency, compassion and fair-play. They know accusing us of “hate” will in many cases silence our opposition and give them whatever they want.

The left are pretty selective regarding who they call intolerant haters. For example, the left claims Christians are vitriolic haters of gays. While the Bible does call homosexuality a sin, it says “with loving kindness have I drawn thee.”(Jeremiah 31:3)

As a teen touring Maryland black churches while on the Baltimore Youth Choir, gays were active in the black church. Black pastors preached the Bible, but I never saw homosexuals mistreated.

Meanwhile, the Muslim faith has zero tolerance for homosexuals. And yet, the left defends Islam to the max. The Noble Quran’s punishment for unrepentant homosexuality is execution, crucifixion or cutting off of hands and feet. In typical democrat fashion of dividing Americans into various perceived voting blocs, Obama has thrown a bone to numerous groups to win their votes in November; women, college kids, blacks and occupiers. Obama coming out in support of gay marriage might be the single issue which awakens black Christian voters from their Obama Zombie trance.

As a black American who ignores skin-color, I can not begin to tell you how frustrating it has been attempting to persuade fellow blacks to see the devastating effects Obama’s Socialistic policies have had not just on America in general, but particularly on the black community. Nothing seems to break their Black Code loyalty to the first black president.

But this “gay thing” may be the straw that breaks the camel’s back.

My dad and a super-liberal black minister friend consider a vote for a Republican to be a vote for the KKK. And yet, they both voted for Bush’s second term to protest the Democrat’s support of gay marriage.

As I stated, blacks fellowship with gays in church – love, live and play with them. But trying to make blacks say homosexuality is normal – “ain’t happenin’”.

Obama’s “Chicago Thug Way” Invades Wisconsin

As Chairman of The Campaign To Defeat Barack Obama, I just returned back home to Florida from Wisconsin which is ground zero in the battle to stop Obama’s ruination of America. http://www.campaigntodefeatobama.com/ Like locust, Obama minions have swarmed the state of Wisconsin, devouring all who dare oppose their recall of Gov. Scott Walker for his efforts to restore his state to fiscal sanity. Obama minions organized mob protesters to storm the State Capitol. Death threats have been made against Gov. Still, Gov. Walker has hung tough and is leading in the polls. This has forced Team Obama to spend more millions and send in the big guns: DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz is headed to Wisconsin.

During my visits to cities across Wisconsin, I have chatted with numerous patriots who are elated and extremely grateful to Gov. Walker for displaying remarkable courage — fighting back the forces of evil to keep his campaign promise to implement responsible budget reforms.

On this latest trip to La Crosse, Wisconsin, I heard a very disturbing tale from an 80-year-old businesswoman. For her safety, I will refer to her as Patriot Sue rather than using her real name. Patriot Sue’s family business has been successful and highly respected since the 50s. But Patriot Sue wrote a local letter-to-the-editor in defense of Gov. Walker’s reforms, and all “heck” broke loose – from false accusations in the media that she mistreats employees to threats against her and her family.

Patriot Sue expressed to me her frustration that some people do not understand how recalling Gov. Walker would negatively impact their pocketbooks.

I guess you cannot run a successful family business for over 50 years without having backbone. Though physically moving a little slow, Patriot Sue still has the spitfire of an 18 year old and the heart of a lion. She financially supports the defeat of the recall and still boldly speaks out in defense of Gov. Walker’s reforms. You simply to do not tell this woman what she can or cannot do.

But folks, what I find most disturbing is that we have “presidential thugs”, in essence, emotionally threatening, and with threat of physically beating, an 80 year old woman and her family.

What am I saying? I am saying it is all about Obama. Leadership flows from the top down. The late Mary Kay said, “The speed of the leader is the speed of the gang.” Mary Kay’s leadership and philosophy of God first, family second and Mary Kay Cosmetics third continue to inspire her army of successful businesswomen.

The Obama administration emits a distinct “Chicago Thug” vibe. In response to any and all opposition to Obama’s socialistic agenda, Obama and his minions have used aggressive terms such as “…we will punch back twice as hard” http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0809/25891.html , “punish our enemies” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAhwTQ784IY , get in their faces” and “take the SOBs out!” …to name just a few. http://www.therightscoop.com/jimmy-hoffa-on-tea-party-lets-take-these-son-of-a-bitches-out/

Team Obama is using Chicago-style bullying to award Obama an undeserved second term despite half the country on food stamps, the housing market in the tank, unemployment through the roof and sky rocketing energy prices. Yes, four more years of Obama’s liberal-utopia-politically-correct policies is exactly what America needs.

To be re-elected, Obama is relying on class envy via crazy, absurd rants attacking the rich by VP Joe Biden to his dumbed-down base. http://americanpowerblog.blogspot.com/2012/05/joe-biden-unhinged-rant-against-rich.html Obama is relying on Al Sharpton and his “we be black victims gang” to inspire enough hate in the hearts of black Americans to get them to the polls in November. Obama minions take no prisoners. All are fair game, including a feisty 80-year-old businesswoman who dares to support Gov. Walker.

It’s Party Time: Your Official Celebrating Liberty Festival Update!

Patriots, the countdown has now begun! With only 103 days to go, I thought that it might be the perfect time to begin giving you all “Official” weekly status updates on the Celebrating Liberty Festival. Keep up with these articles, since not only will they give you current information but also interesting background information not found in articles or interviews in the mainstream media. Expect each piece to be fun and informative, as we lead up to what will– no doubt– be the largest political event this side of the November election. If you plan on attending this whale of a good time in the New Mexican mountains,  our website will be a necessity for all of your travel and on-site information. (www.celebratingliberty.com)

Now let me tell you more about this exciting, new section on our event site. It’s where you will get the up-to-the-minute status as we  plan this great event. On top of this, you will get behind-the-scenes glimpses you won’t find anywhere else– exclusively for you, the Tea Party Tribune and Celebrating Liberty reader! This section will be titled Under the Radar.

Current Status:

The current status of the festival? We’re on target to have a huge blowout, or what I like to refer to as a Conservative Mardi Gras.

Already our official event coordinator is on the ground in Moriarty, New Mexico. Robin Foshee is a Tea Party faithful, and I’m beginning to thank the good Lord daily for her tremendous talents as an organizing wiz– which is a must for events of this scale. Her capable assistant, Jim Gillespie, deserves a mention, too. He is another Tea Party faithful, and one of the those fellows that knows everyone (or knows someone who knows everyone). That’s another, much-needed commodity in this endeavor. But one of the most exciting things about their coming on board for Celebrating Liberty Festival is that you can help, too! Robin and Jim are looking for volunteer coordinators for each and every aspect of this event. Do you happen to live in (or want to hang out in) New Mexico? If so, do get in touch with me! This is a three-month commitment, starting immediately. Don’t worry about experience, or whether you think you can do something like this… They will need folks to handle an array of details, and you can find your niche. Don’t doubt me on this!

Our entertainment for this festival is rounding out very nicely. So far, we’ve booked some great entertainers– with more on the way. Again, you will want to keep up on our updates, in the Under The Radar section, as they materialize. (www.celebratingliberty.com) You never know what exciting performers might be joining us! You’ll notice that when you click on the respective names of the confirmed performers, you can watch their videos. Currently, that list includes Kimbirly Vasi, Garrett Lloyd King, Krista Branch and Grammy Winner Steve Vaus

For the hard-core Tea Party crowd,  we’ve booked some hard-hitting speakers in the line-up, too. Fox News contributor, and Founder of The Black Sphere.net , Kevin Jackson will be spewing his loyalty to our constitution and other patriotic messaging. He is a fire breather of a speaker and very entertaining to listen to. We also have Tom Trento from The United West, a fellow that routinely goes toe to toe with The Muslim Brotherhood. Not even our hero Chuck Norris can match Tom, when it comes to strong, verbal warfare for America! You’ll cheer as Tom gives his rousing opinion on how America must handle radicals like the Muslim Brotherhood. Lt. Governor John Sanchez , another brilliant speaker, has confirmed. He is very popular with his native New Mexicans, especially amongst the Tea Party faithful. Sanchez is truly a rising star in the Republican Party, and no doubt we will be hearing much from him in the future. And there are many, many more national figures invited– yes, some are the most popular, Conservative speakers, the biggest of the big. Again, stay tuned to Under the Radar for more information as we get it.

Restoring America Project is making every attempt to only contract with local vendors and suppliers for all of our needs. In fact, the staging and sound systems will be provided by a company from Albuquerque. Our tenting is also coming out of there. Many people inquired about this subject. So now you know.

We have extended invitations to many of the nation’s largest conservative organizations, and some have confirmed with us.  Some of these groups will be installing Hospitality Tents for the event. As I get a full list, I will keep you all updated.

Before I forget, we are bringing in many, many activities for the younger conservatives attending the festival. One of these activities I am currently working on is a Ferris Wheel. If anyone knows where I can snare one, please do send along that information. The giant 150 foot tall hot air balloon ” Bald Eagle ” will be making his presence known. (photo on website) If you have never seen a  pumpkin chunker, you’re truly deprived. I personally haven’t, and I am officially deprived. From what I hear, these  contraptions can shoot off a large pumpkin over a mile! This is something that would make the famous comedian Gallagher smile.  If you’re too young to remember him: his schtick was smashing melons and pumpkins with a sledgehammer (or some other object) and watching them explode on impact. Can you imagine your Halloween pumpkin being launched a mile away, then exploding? Sounds like fun to me!

Under the Radar!

This is the part where you, the The Tea Party Tribune and Celebrating Liberty reader, get the inside information that the mainstream media can’t give you!

While I cannot divulge every politician that we have invited, let’s just say this: I swear on my favorite black cowboy hat, you will be shocked at who may be coming! They don’t get any bigger, patriots. The minute they confirm, I promise you, we will let you know. I can say this much– we’ve officially extended a invitation to Congressman Allen West (Florida), Senator Marco Rubio (Florida), Governor Susana Martinez ( New Mexico ) and many others. Let’s all hope that they all can work Celebrating Liberty Festival into their busy schedules. We will also extend invitations (when his campaign begins accepting them) to Governor Mitt Romney ( The Presumptive Nominee ) and the Veep Candidate, as well .

As I said in the last paragraph, we cannot tell you everything that might happen. But here’s what I can tell you about our entertainment prospects. In Under the Radar, we will keep you informed about this: we’re working on, persuading, coercing, begging and several other adjectives for the following: Mr. Ted Nugent, Mr. Clay Walker and the legend Gloria Estafen and the Miami Sound Machine.

Bristol Palin says children do better with a mother and father.

The daughter of 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin made the comment on the religious website patheos.com. She was responding to President Obama’s endorsement of same-sex marriage.

Palin quickly drew fire from critics who note she was an unwed mother at age 17.

Jersey Shore star Jenni “JWOWW” Farley tweeted, “Bristol should keep her uneducated ignorant mouth shut. If Ur living in the past u wouldn’t have a kid w/out marriage (hash) hypocrite. It’s 2012!”

Obama said his position evolved after discussions with his wife and daughters. He told ABC News his daughters would never imagine “that somehow their friends’ parents would be treated differently.”

Palin is filming “Bristol Palin: Life’s a Tripp for Lifetime.” Tripp is the name of her 3-year-old son.

A Tea Party Pest

I walked out of work tonight and the air was warm and sticky.  A little late in this part of the world as we’ve seen cool temperatures, clouds and a lot of rain and when I leave the bedroom windows open at night I’ve been sleeping under a quilt.  There wasn’t much rain and no snow for months and the winter was like an extended autumn.  The weather man on TV last night said the first four months of the year were the warmest first four months ever recorded in the lower 48.  We were the beneficiaries and I enjoyed it while riding my bike wearing nothing more than a hooded sweatshirt.  Of course my bottom got chilly!  What I mean to say is I rode mornings through the winter without a coat and instead just a fading Phillies hoodie to keep me warm on some cool days.  I’d pedal through some of the old sharecropper neighborhoods and admire the old country churches where people found solace from the rote and routine matters of life.

April was chillier than much of February and March and heavy rains finally started falling and a projected severe drought is over, although.  I still rode the bicycle without a coat.  After ten minutes of tooling around I’m quite warm.  The bike has been in the shop twice in two weeks.  I debated trading it for a new one but instead had some yearly repairs completed.  I’ve got such a kinship with my 2007 Jamis Commuter.  This portly old guy raced across the Eastern Shore a few summers ago at a 15 mile per hour clip and by 4:00 P.M. that lovely August day I was in the suburbs between Baltimore and Washington.

I’ve gained weight and am now working to reverse the aging trend by riding vigorously.  I’ve got my wind back and my muscles are no longer sore but the bike is ailing.  I tend to ride it like it’s a mountain bike.  My belief is I need to push the limits to burn some fat.  I’ve been taking the bike for long trail rides along the canal and the ocean and in some spots the trail is nothing more than old railroad bed.  The bike shop put an 80 dollar heavy duty rim under my seat and I immediately blew the attached tire while riding across a corrugated drawbridge on my way to the beach.  So, now I’ve got a heavy duty rim, a new tube inside the tire and a fiberglass protective strip between tube and tire.  We’ll see how it works!

We’ve had some dry days but even when the wind stops blowing and the sun shines it has been cool outdoors.  I guess having the world’s second largest ocean next door means you wait for the water to warm before the rest of the neighborhood?

It hasn’t stopped my neighbor, Murph, from getting his gardens in order.  The other day he was showing me his wife’s flower beds and pointed out there are little rabbits nesting in the soil.  One little critter just sat there staring back at us.  Last summer when I was riding my bike near his house I never saw so many rabbits roaming an area as I did those hot days.  The voles have been tearing up his lawn and it makes him cross, which for Murph is grumbling just before he breaks out into a loud laugh.  He was broken hearted, though, after tilling the large garden.  He found some eggs in a nest and he moved them to the side of the plot but momma bird since hasn’t returned.  Maybe I shouldn’t share the details.  The Department of Natural Resources may appropriate his land and slap him with a large fine.

Would they do the same for snakes?  I came across a long slender and bright green snake while riding my bicycle a couple of weeks ago.  I circled around it.  Then this past Sunday I was peddling along a trail and saw a long and fat snake and again I gave a wide berth on a very narrow part of the path.  As I crossed a wooden bridge I saw a woman running toward me while pushing a stroller.  When I mentioned the snake she quite quickly forgot about exercising.

I’m reminded of the days when I lived in Marcellus, New York and there was a beautiful park 200 feet from my front door.  On foggy mornings I’d go for walks on the track encircling the soccer field.  A fox would emerge from the woods and the curious little guy would watch me circle and circle and circle.  Then one day he started making the ovals with me and it struck me not all wild animals are anti-social.  While we never got very close it amazed me his tail would wag when I spoke to him about being my shadow.

You know, my odometer reaches 50 in a few months and some consider it weakness and others a lack of faith but I wonder after 5 decades what’s life all about?

A couple of weeks ago I had a guest on the show and she revealed that when she was a teenager she gave a son away to adoption.  Then she never had anymore children.  It made me think of another friend who dedicated her younger years to political activism and then realized one day she would never have a family and, yet.  In both cases these women found the missions God had in mind for them.

Many mornings I wake and start my day as all my days seem to start.  Coffee and headlines and some telephone calls and then I make the short drive to work.  Eight minutes.  Eight minutes to think about how you got to this place at this time in your life.  I wasn’t a spectacular father to my daughter.  I think I did the best I could but also know I missed much quality time with her.  Certainly my track record as a boyfriend/husband was even less spectacular.  My late brother told me 25 years ago I was married to my work.  Frankly, at the time it blotted out memories of a cancelled marriage.

The thing is I get a hit from my work.  Well, not when I was selling paint at Sears or suits at Chappell’s or when I was working a loading dock.  None of those jobs were unpleasant but I didn’t get the high.

A great many people in broadcasting are considered successes because they climbed a ladder to the top.  I stepped down a few rungs but a funny thing happened in the descent.  The Internet came along and gave even the small town blowhards a potentially large audience.  I may not be the best at exploiting the opportunity but this past warm winter I had an unusual experience.  I saw an online commentary from a national writer and dropped him a line.  The guy wrote back and praised my work.  The result for me was a 90 day high.  It’s almost as good as the nasty replies I get from the liberal newspaper columnists in Baltimore and Washington.  “Good luck with the tea party,” one wrote in anger.

I think I’ve found my mission in life.  I’m a pest!

 

Palins Endorse Ted Cruz in Texas Senate Race

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and her husband, Todd, have endorsed another Senate candidate in a contested Republican primary: former Texas Solicitor General Ted Cruz.

Cruz told supporters in an email that he sought her support via a letter.

“We’re proud to join conservatives in Texas and throughout the nation in supporting your campaign to become the next Senator from the Lone Star State,” Palin wrote back.

“Your conservative principles, passionate defense of our Constitution and our free market system come at a time when these cornerstones of our freedom and prosperity are under attack,” she added. “Our shared goal isn’t just to change the majority in control of the Senate, but to assure principled conservatives like you are there to fight for us.”

The Cruz email also notes that Palin endorsed in Indiana’s Senate GOP primary. The Cruz campaign has touted state Treasurer Richard Mourdock’s walloping of Sen. Dick Lugar in Tuesday’s primary and has sought to paint Texas Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst, the frontrunner in the Senate race, as similar to Lugar in that both are the “establishment” candidates.

Dewhurst and Cruz are locked in a crowded GOP primary that also includes former Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert and former ESPN analyst Craig James. Roll Call rates the race to replace retiring Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R) as Safe Republican.

It is presumed that Dewhurst will come in first in the May 29 primary. The question is whether he can top 50 percent and avoid a July 31 runoff with the second-place finisher.

The Cruz endorsement comes a day after Palin endorsed state Sen. Deb Fischer in the Nebraska GOP Senate primary to replace retiring Sen. Ben Nelson.

A Black Guy at the Dallas, TX Tea Party Rally

A big well dressed black guy attended the Dallas, TX tea party rally with his white buddy. Both men missed my singing performance on stage minutes earlier. I asked the black gentleman who had an impressive physique how often he worked out. He replied, “Everyday.” His white buddy said with a chuckle, “He thinks the Tea Party is racist.”

I went into explaining to the black man that these people could not care less about Obama’s skin-color. They, along with me, disapprove of what Obama is doing – his policies. I gave a brief laundry list of things Obama is doing which go against what I believe to be right as an American and a Christian. The black gentleman silently listened. But folks, I must be honest. I felt annoyed. This black man came to the rally with his white friend. They were surrounded by people waving American flags, laughing, smiling and cheering in response to various inspiring statements from the speaker on stage, Mr. Rafael Cruz whose son Ted Cruz is running for U.S. Senate. votetedcruz.org The senior Mr Cruz legally immigrated to America in his youth. He spoke of all the wonderful freedom, liberty and opportunity he found in America. There was not the slightest hint of hate in the air; only a cool refreshing breeze of love in the air for America, the greatest land of opportunity on the planet.

I thought, what gives this black guy the right to stand in the midst of this crowd of patriots and call them racists? Why was the burden on us to convince a black racist, this was not a racist gathering? Granted, he and I were the only blacks in attendance at the rally. But again, why was that the fault of the Tea Party? I wanted to say, “Dude, can’t you see you’re the one being racist?”

Despite feeling annoyed, I nurtured the black man. I explained that I subscribe to a higher standard which would never allow me to support a candidate solely because we shared the same skin color. I asked, “Don’t you see how wrong that would be?” He did not respond, but simply looked at me as if I were insane. It was as if I was speaking a foreign language he did not understand or offering an incomprehensible bizarre concept.

I continued observing the rally from inside the Tea Party Express tour bus which was parked behind the stage serving as a backdrop. And there he was, the muscular tall well dressed black man who stood out in the white and Hispanic crowd. He stayed until the end – our grand finale military tribute.

Tea Party Speaks, Lugar Out In Indiana

Proving wrong the leaders of the Progressive movement and the MSM, the Tea Party has rocked the political establishment by driving Republican Richard Mourdock to a primary victory in Indiana over 36 year incumbent Richard Lugar.

Lugar, the 80 year-old, six-term Senator, conceded to Mourdock early into the vote counting. Mourdock took 61% of the vote to Lugar’s 39%. In his concession, Lugar stated his hopes that Mourdock will win in November. However, a statement released by his campaign had a stinging rebuke of both Mourdock, and, by extension, the Tea Party: (emphasis mine)

I want to see a Republican elected President, and I want to see a Republican majority in the Congress. I hope my opponent wins in November to help give my friend Mitch McConnell a majority.

If Mr. Mourdock is elected, I want him to be a good Senator. But that will require him to revise his stated goal of bringing more partisanship to Washington. He and I share many positions, but his embrace of an unrelenting partisan mindset is irreconcilable with my philosophy of governance and my experience of what brings results for Hoosiers in the Senate. In effect, what he has promised in this campaign is reflexive votes for a rejectionist orthodoxy and rigid opposition to the actions and proposals of the other party. His answer to the inevitable roadblocks he will encounter in Congress is merely to campaign for more Republicans who embrace the same partisan outlook. He has pledged his support to groups whose prime mission is to cleanse the Republican party of those who stray from orthodoxy as they see it.

This is not conducive to problem solving and governance.

Those groups whose “prime mission is to cleanse the Republican party?” Lugar, of course, means the Tea Party. One wonders whether Lugar came up with these words on his own, or just crib them from Sens. Harry Reid (D-NV) or Chuck Schumer (D-NY)?

Viguerie: Lugar Defeated, Another Tea Party Victory

A few days ago we asked conservatives and Tea Partiers to “head to the sound of the guns” to help Richard Mourdock win his Indiana Senate campaign. Yesterday, Tea Partiers and grassroots conservatives in Indiana came together to defeat six-term Republican Richard Lugar, “Obama’s favorite Republican.”

In a stunning turnaround for six-term Republican Senator Richard Lugar, who last election was unopposed, State Treasurer Richard Mourdock received 373,080 votes (60%) to Lugar’s 248,169 (39.9%).

Mourdock began his general election campaign during his victory speech by reminding voters that his Democratic opponent, Congressman Joe Donnelly, is a supporter of President Obama’s disastrous agenda. He then made a plea for help to recharge his campaign war chest by noting that the unopposed Donnelly had $800,000 cash on hand to begin the general election campaign. Mourdock is calling his effort to catch-up to Donnelly the “Match Donnelly Money Bomb.”

Senator Marco Rubio became the first Senator to endorse Mourdock after his primary victory and Rubio’s Reclaim America PAC has already begun to help Mourdock raise money. Mourdock’s plea for help with his “Match Donnelly Money Bomb” was followed by a fundraising email from Senator Rubio minutes after his nomination was official.

Rubio’s endorsement said in part, “Richard is a principled conservative who has served as Indiana’s Treasurer since 2006. Since that time, he has proven himself as a responsible watchdog of Hoosiers’ hard-earned tax dollars… He will cut spending, balance the federal budget, fight for common-sense in our tax code, and preserve Social Security and Medicare for the next generation through bold reforms.”

Noting that Donnelly has been a loyal soldier for Barack Obama and that Obama calls him his “Partner,” Mourdock reminded voters Donnelly was a deciding vote on ObamaCare, and also voted for Obama’s Stimulus program and his bailouts.

Mourdock’s come from behind victory is especially heartening for Tea Partiers because Washington establishment Republican figures, such as Congressman Eric Cantor, worked behind the scenes to shore-up Lugar.

Mourdock’s campaign was powered by grassroots support from Hoosiers for a Conservative Senate, and Tea Party inspiration Sarah Palin joined Rick Santorum, Michele Bachmann, Freedom Works, the American Conservative Union, the NRA, Gun Owners of America, National Review, The Club for Growth, and the Family Research Council in also providing support for Mourdock’s campaign.

While Indiana is a generally conservative state, Richard Mourdock is not a shoo-in. Indiana went for Obama in 2008. Because of his record as a principled conservative, and his Tea Party support, Democrats will spend significant resources to stop Mourdock from winning in November – the race is far from over and Mourdock needs all the help he can get.

Senator Lugar … Meet the Tea Party

Richard Lugar’s 36-year Senate career came to an ignominious end Tuesday evening when Indiana Republican primary voters chose Tea Party champion Richard Mourdock to face a Democratic challenger this November.

“He [Lugar] did not run a campaign recognizing the lessons … of the 2010 [midterm] election,” an anonymous GOP strategist told The Hill, “He could have defined Mourdock early on, and failed to do so.”

For Lugar to “define” Mourdock required he first define himself. Since 2010, establishment Republicans have scrambled to co-opt those around the Tea Party periphery by claiming the meaningless title “conservative,” with Mitt Romney being the most glaring example.

Not all Tea Party enthusiasts buy into this cynical strategy, however. “This will be my first primary vote,” Indianapolis resident and Mourdock supporter Nick Ellis told me, “I’m making sure I count now more than ever to ensure my Indiana is an example to all other RINOs out there,” saying he wants establishment Republicans to pay at the ballot box for their “betrayal.”

“36 years is enough,” said Ellis of the veteran Indiana Senator, “enough time to become corrupted by the D.C. political machine and to lose sight of the core values of the state you represent.”

A strong Second Amendment supporter, Ellis noted, “Lugar’s F-rating with the NRA didn’t help his cause either. I mean, how does a Republican from Indiana receive an F-rating?”

In a piece written in support of Lugar, former presidential speechwriter and Wall Street Journal columnist Peggy Noonan said, “What Washington needs is sober and responsible adults. We are as a nation in a moment of real peril, facing challenges that are going to become existential – maybe already are – if we don’t do something about them.”

What Noonan and her fellow establishmentarians fail to grasp is that many Hoosiers have patiently waited 36 years for Lugar to grow up and face these existential perils. Indiana’s Tea Party realists came to the conclusion that Lugar was much too old a dog to teach new tricks.

“The mainstream media keeps insisting the Tea Party is dead,” Nick Ellis reminds me, “But if the polls are any reflection of today’s outcome – that certainly doesn’t seem to be the case.”

Lugar’s departure from Washington’s political theater of the absurd proves that reports of the Tea Party’s death are greatly exaggerated.

Lugar Republicans would be wise to take note, grow up, and seriously confront the perils facing the nation.

In the end, fighting for our nation’s survival greatly enhances the odds of your political survival.

This is one of those articles where I honestly do not know where to begin. Have you ever tried to type on the keyboard when you’re shaking with anger and spitting at the computer screen?

I heard last week that President Obama’s actually gave some $1.500,000,000.00 to the Muslim Brotherhood. If you aren’t familiar with them, allow me to enlighten you. The Muslim Brotherhood are the fine folks who took possession of Egypt last year. This came immediately after they’d offered up the “Arab Spring ” in several other Middle Eastern countries and essentially seized control of them. In the end, here’s the situation we find ourselves in. Israel is surrounded by enemies, and our President’s donating $1.5 Large to an organization dedicated to arming, funding and supporting Hamas, Hezbollah and Al Qaeda. Now, before you decide to scream at me, please read the above link. Then you’ll understand: The Muslim Brotherhood bore the top three terrorist organizations on the planet.

If the above wasn’t enough

If the above weren’t enough to get my blood pressure to the boiling point, this next bit of information blew my head off. According to Fox News and several other news organizations, we now find out that this President is not only releasing terrorist from the comfy confines of Cuba, he is doing so at the behest of the Afghanistan government. Why? It turns out that the Afghanistan government made this request to Barack Obama on the behalf of the Taliban! What part of “terrorist organization” is he missing? Not only do the Taliban hold their women in religious bondage,  but they are flipping TERRORISTS! I have one very serious question for Barack Obama. When did it become the policy of the United States to start cowering to terrorist demands, on behalf of second-rate crooked leaders from third world countries?  This President, I believe, has now officially crossed the line into treason. The very people that we capture on the battle field and send to jail in Cuba, he releases, so that they can return and kill more of our boys and girls. It is absolutely beyond my capability to articulate the hatred I have in my heart for this man. I simply do not have the words. And that even before I think about the fact that he gives them our tax dollars, too.

The icing on the cake

The icing on the cake is that the good old boys from Occupy are out on the prowl again. These, however, are not your run-of-the-mill protesters. They are, wait for it, wait patiently, here you go, ready for it? They are being funded by the fine folks at The Tides Foundation, the AFL-CIO, SEIU, The American Communist Party, The American Socialist Party and many, other patriotic organizations. Does any of the above ring a bell for you? The AFL-CIO/SEIU were Obama’s largest financial supporters in the last election. Good old Andy Stern and Richard Trumka donated a combined $400,000,000.00 to Mr. Hope and Change. The Tides Foundation is the arm that funds Moveon.org & Media Matters, whom we all know are George Soros’ pets. See how this is all coming full-circle?

My theory is this

My theory is this (and my gosh, I do hope and pray I am wrong): I’m afraid that these Occupy radicals are going to crank up and cause an enormous amount of trouble in America this summer. They’re going to cause  incredible social unrest. We will have cities burning, people dying. Now we’re aware that Barack Obama wins by causing division in our society. He creates illusions of: We all need to do our fair share, We all need to let everyone have a fair shake and yada, yada and more yada– as if any person in a tax bracket over $12,000 a year does nothing at all.

Everyone’s thinking the same thing, but I suppose I will be the first to have the courage to say it.  Here’s what we all know. The Obama Administration ordered some 600M rounds of ammunition from ATK in Anoka, MN, last March. It’s certain that Obama is a globalist– who either doesn’t have America’s best interests at heart or just flat-out is trying to destroy her. George Soros has sworn to take down America and her capitalistic systems, and he has a bought and paid for boy named Barack Obama. Isn’t it a plausible theory that Obama and Soros are planning for America to burn this summer, then do something really stupid– martial law? Yes, I know, now your saying to yourself : ” The Old Crow ” has gone off his rocker. Maybe so. I’m not making allegations that this is what’s going on, but merely tossing the theory out there. You can see for yourselves what this guy has done, America!

No White House occupant in our nation’s history has done what this guy has. He has zero regard for our Constitution, he has zero respect for our nation when he travels abroad– up to and including insulting our heritage as a nation. He is very obviously on the United Nations bandwagon and has no respect for our sovereignty. He has in fact ordered 600M rounds of hollow point ammunition for 4o caliber pistols and AK-47′s, which are used by Homeland Security and U.N. forces. He has Soros bank-rolling street thugs who are trashing our cities. I honestly don’t think that we’ll have a very peaceful summer in America this year. I honestly believe we are being set-up for what might very well be one of  the most dangerous eras, both Constitutionally and civilly, in our history since 1863.

My suggestion, America? Pray, and pray hard. Get out and work hard this time for the good guys. Ensure that we can garner a majority in the Senate and retain the House. You know as well as I do– if  Obama wins re-election we are most certainly doomed. Let me assure you: I truly don’t mean to be a fear monger. But I’m reading the tea leaves. America, they do not look good.

Allen West: Conservatives should be like sharks who smell blood in the water

On Saturday night, Rep. Allen West (R-FL) fired up conservatives at a Broward County Lincoln Day dinner in Fort Lauderdale.

Encouraging Republicans to “find the enemy and fight them wherever they are” like American paratroopers from the 101st and 82nd Airborne did the night before the D-day invasion, West said they “must be like sharks that smell blood in the water.”

“Ladies and gentlemen, you don’t win on defense. You win on offense,” he said.

West hit the left hard throughout his speech, and encouraged Republicans to “fight back against…liberal progressivism.”

He also went after the President for his economic policies and told them they would “be surprised” to learn where Obama got his ‘Forward‘ slogan from.

“This is a moral discussion we’ve having in this country, because we‘re talking about what we’re going to leave for our children and grandchildren,” he said.

”I feel sorry for them because for whatever reason they don’t know the essence of the greatness of the United States of America,” West said of American liberals, accusing them of engaging in “collective subjugation.”

“We must restore that sense of individual sovereignty,” he said, instead of collective subjugation.

He also warned them that “in the twinkle of an eye, we can lose this great nation.”

The audience applauded and cheered throughout his 19 minute speech, as he encouraged them with the zingers he has become well known for.

He closed by reminding them of the farewell speech given by Confederate General Thomas J. “Stonewall” Jackson when he was promoted by Robert E. Lee.

“He said to his brigade they would always be first in his heart,” West said.  “Broward County will always be first in my heart, and I will never forget you,” he told the crowd.

Richard Mourdock has surged past six-term incumbent U.S. Senator Dick Lugar in the latest poll ahead of Indiana’s GOP primary on Tuesday. UWEE caught up with Indiana Tea Party favorite on his Saturday afternoon stroll of Indiana’s Veterans Memorial Plaza in Indianapolis. 

All signs suggest legendary Sen. Dick Lugar is going to lose Tuesday in a nationally watched Republican Party primary. That’s why I came to Indiana this weekend.

What I found was his likely conqueror, Richard Mourdock, walking around kissing babies and shaking hands with adults on Saturday at a Tea Party event. It was American retail politics at its best and most surreal.

Mourdock was prevented by Federal Election Commission (FEC) rules from appearing on stage at an event sponsored by the Political Action Committee (PAC) Freedom Works, but the FEC could not prevent Mourdock, the Indiana State Treasurer, from working the crowd at a Hoosier Conservatives Rally.

Certainly the government watchdog commission could not stop Mourdock from hugging Ginni Schneider, a loyal volunteer since before Mourdock’s most recent election to a two-year term as treasurer. “I love this man,” Schneider said with a big grin. “He’s Christian, he’s conservative, and he’s Republican. What more could we ask of him?”

In a scenario ripe for a “Daily Show” comedy skit critical of the Tea Party and PAC loopholes, Fox News commentator Michelle Malkin seemed ready to explode on the main stage because she was not able to point out Mourdock only a few yards away posing for pictures and signing autographs.

Mourdock — pronounced like Rupert’s last name — was unfazed. A widely respected poll released late Friday showed Mourdock enjoying a 10-point lead over Lugar, and Rick Santorum, Sarah Palin and Michele Bachman, have all provided endorsements.

“I’m so incredibly humbled by this turnout – this intra-party rebellion fueled by all these people who believe in the Tea Party,” Mourdock told me between a high five and kiss on the cheek of a woman standing next to him.

“I’ve run nine marathons in my life and when you make it to those last two miles, you stay steady. If you speed up, you cramp up. If you slow down, you run out of gas.”

What better metaphor could an Indiana politician have, with all those fast cars about to roar into town next weekend for the start of Indy 500 time trials?

This is the most hotly contested GOP primary race since Delaware Tea Partier Christine O’Donnell felt compelled to convince us she’s not a witch.

About 40 blocks to the north of the rally, Lugar has avid supporters from almost every walk of life — including a disabled father and son who said they won’t consider voting for anybody but Lugar in November. The reason they won’t consider voting for Lugar on Tuesday is because both are registered Democrats.

“Oh my, I remember Dick Lugar since he became mayor here back in ’67,” said David Holt Jr., whose father, David Sr., has to use a walker wherever they go on their evening strolls. “He’s always been such a strong supporter of Indiana, helping us out whenever he gets the chance. I think he has earned his seat.”

It’s a theme I heard time and again as I made my way through the upper, middle, and lower income neighborhoods north of Indianapolis. A young man living along Hampton Street was walking out his front door to work when I parked my rental car across the street.

“Lugar? He’s the man,” said Josh Padgett. “Everybody loves him. He’s been in office forever [since 1976] and has done more for Indiana than anyone I know.”

Young and old. Rich and poor. Black and white. Democrat and Republican. In these neighborhoods Lugar was revered.

But it’s a sentiment that Tea Party voters do not share. Not even close. Mourdock? He’s their man.

Running on a bare-bones budget during his successful campaign for reelection as state treasurer in 2010, Mourdock stunned political junkies across the country by carrying 62% of St. Joseph County – the home of U.S. Representative Joe Donnelly, a Democrat who will oppose either Mourdock or Lugar in November.

Tea Party hopes are higher than ever that Mourdock’s soft-spoken demeanor will be more attractive to Indiana’s independent voters than that of Lugar, an 80-year-old moderate who MSNBC called President Obama’s “favorite Republican.”

Nothing riles up hardcore Tea Partiers more than anyone willing to even consider working with Obama — even when it’s a powerful incumbent like Lugar, who has brought tens of millions of dollars in earmarks to this Norman Rockwell portrait of a state sandwiched between Illinois and Ohio.

“I don’t trust any word that comes out of Lugar’s mouth,” said Darryl Herbertz, who drove all the way from Louisville, Kentucky to cheer on his Tea Party favorite.

“He’s always pushing [the U.S.] into these United Nations treaties in violation of his own oath of office. He’s trying to sell our national security to foreigners. The guy is totally repulsive.”

Lugar has been politically hurt by a problematic legal residency issue. His primary residence in McLean, Virginia, and he needed the Indiana Supreme Court to rule that Lugar’s ownership of a family farm near Indianapolis qualified him to vote in the state. Tea Party pressure led to Lugar’s reimbursement of $14,000 for weekend hotel stays around Indiana when he comes to the state.

In the last days before Tuesday’s Republican primary, Lugar has unleashed millions of dollars in withering attack ads. To which Mourdock said this: “If certain people in this state want to try to divide America, well, we’re greater than that as a country.” A few minutes later a preacher prayed on stage for God’s favor in defeating Lugar this Tuesday.

A sign of just how bruising this campaign has become for Mourdock came toward the end of our five-minute conversation 30 yards north of the main stage.

“What all of these volunteers have done…” Mourdock’s voice halted, his eyes misting over. “I’ve had moments at home with my family where I just think about how far this campaign has come. It’s humbling to have so many great people around me as we fight for this victory.”

Will the Real Tea party Please Stand Up

As the election cycle is beginning to kick into high gear, I have to ask the question: Which tea party is the real tea party? Is it the tea party that is true to the founding principles of the movement, fiscal responsibility, smaller government, strict constitutionalism and personal freedom? Or is it the tea party which seems to be focused on social issues, such as same-sex marriage, reversing Row v. Wade and stopping the war on religion, most notably Catholicism? Or should these all be part of the mix?

 

This question was discussed vehemently last month when there was a difference in opinion on which Tax Day rally was more appropriate, one which was mostly fiscal in nature or a separate rally which was more social issue focused. Another question which arises is should the tea party movement coalesce behind Mitt Romney, the presumptive Republican Presidential nominee or on another candidate, such as Ron Paul?

In some tea party groups there is even another question, that of how much time and effort should be spent on local elections as opposed to national elections, which of these would be most effective at changing the direction of this country?

Tea party detractors point to the reason for these divisions amongst us is because we have no leader, therefore no focus. There are several “national” tea party groups out there, all with “national leaders” and who seem to all have slightly different agendas. But I will argue that these groups don’t necessarily represent what the intent of the movement was when it began. I sometimes wonder if many of us in the movement have actually begun to believe what has been written about us from our detractors, that we are nothing but a pawn of the Republican party, that we are extreme religious conservatives who want to bring the country back to the fifties when people couldn’t profess who they were publically for fear of being bullied or that we our only mission in life is to remove Barack Obama from the Presidency because we are all obviously racists. I have to admit, these are some of the message which I seem to be getting.

Back to the original question which is the real tea party, is it one or a combination of all? There is no easy answer, which is why the divisions in the first place. When the movement started it seemed all those involved were focused on the core principles of the movement. We called ourselves Patriots and believed we could actually change the country, and we did, or at least we began to. One only needs to look at the 2010 mid-term elections to see the dent we made. Long-time incumbents were ousted, many new faces appeared in Congress and even more ran, although not elected. For the first time in my voting life there were races here in Massachusetts that were actually contested and while no incumbents on the national level were defeated, several were in trouble. The real change here was at the state level where the long time Democratic controlled legislature lost some of its clout with some new Republican blood appearing under the golden dome on Beacon Hill.

In this writer’s opinion this is where the tea party movement needs to focus, at the state and local level. We need to change the culture at the lowest levels first so this culture can work its way up through the system. While I agree we need change at the top, unless we change those who are coming up, we will return to the same old system in four years. The culture of spending, entitlements and bigger government needs to stop, and this begins in our own backyards. Local spending is out of control throughout the country. If we begin to affect change at the level we can prove it can be done. This is how we will truly move “Forward”.

The Ultimate Appeal To Persuade Fellow Blacks To Stop Voting Democrat.

Candidly, I have struggled with this for years; how best to explain why I am a black conservative and why fellow black Americans should join me.

I served on a board with an extremely bright black mom. Both of her kids, a boy and a girl, are brilliant; her son received a full scholarship to Yale.

This black mom is well-read on “whiny” black liberal authors and philosophers. I am talking about the majority of black authors you see featured on mainstream TV. They sound extremely intellectual, explaining how white America is still systematically abusing blacks and why more heavily funded government programs are the answer. I feel like screaming at my TV, “Knock it off! Bottom line is you hate white people and are seeking more entitlement government freebies!” Such needy victim rhetoric has NOTHING to do with, nor does it achieve REAL, “black empowerment”. Frankly, these people turn my stomach.

As I said, the black mom is extremely well-read on victim-hood peddling black authors and has never heard of brilliant black conservatives Professor Walter Williams and Dr. Thomas Sowell.

Professor Walter E. Williams is an American economist and academic. He is the John M. Olin Distinguished Professor of Economics at George Mason University, as well as a syndicated columnist.

Dr. Thomas Sowell is an American economist, social theorist, political philosopher, and author of 30 books. Dr Sowell is currently a Rose and Milton Friedman Senior Fellow on Public Policy at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University.

Both these guys are about “real” black empowerment, teaching personal responsibility, education, hard work and morality; not the standard blacks-are-eternal-victims and white-America-owes-us garbage spouted by black pundits on TV. Thus, you NEVER see Prof. Williams or Dr Sowell on mainstream TV. I love these guys, Prof. Williams and Dr. Sowell.

Black media and mainstream liberal media, for the most part, ignore black conservatives. It is shameful that I had to hear about distinguished black conservatives who have the their heads on straight from white conservative talk radio hosts.

On rare occasions when black media (talk radio, TV & etc) does recognize black conservatives, for the most part, it is to denigrate them – labeling them Uncle Toms, traitors to their race and self-loathing stupid n******.

Liberal mainstream media today strives to keep black conservatives “invisible”.

My 84 year old black dad never heard of Herman Cain until the liberal media’s gleeful 24/7 coverage of alleged sexual harassment against Cain during his bid to win the Republican presidential nomination.

Think about that folks. Herman Cain is a black conservative author, business executive, radio host and syndicated columnist. Cain was the first black CEO of Godfather Pizza and CEO of the National Restaurant Association.

If embraced by Oprah, Tavis Smiley and the mainstream media, Herman Cain would have been a tremendous inspiration to young black entrepreneurs. But, the left “don’t cotton” to uppity blacks who achieve the old-fashion way — via education, hard work and character without government intervention or lowered standards.

Tragically, the left chose to introduce Herman Cain to black America as nothing more than a guy who can’t keep it in his pants. This is how the left (liberal media and Democrats) love to demean, discredit and humiliate self-reliant, non-victim-minded blacks.

Still, I keep searching for the answer – what do I say to persuade blacks to, as that spiked haired blonde female dietitian use to say, “Stop the insanity!” How do I get fellow blacks to see beyond their racism and “honestly” assess their forty years of loyalty to the Democratic Party? Are blacks better off today than they were forty years ago? Remarkably, aspects of black life surrendered to Democrat policies and programs are far worse. Enough with the stupid, fact-free rhetoric which says, “I can’t vote for a Republican because they are racist”. Historically and even today, most racism against blacks and whites, spews from the Democrats.

Black American brothers and sisters, the dems have been playin’ you for suckers for far too long. They are not your friends. Their motivation and game are extremely simple.

The Democratic Party leadership has been infiltrated by arrogant power hungry liberals who think they know better than you how to run your life. They invent “fake” enemies via lies about Republicans being racist, mean-spirited control freaks. Ironically, this perfectly describes the modern Democratic leadership. Every Democrat campaign is the same. Vote for us! Surrender all power to us! We’ll take care of you and protect you from the evil Republicans!

Meanwhile, under Obama, black unemployment has gone through the roof. 

Black on black crime statistics are shockingly high.  The black male high school dropout rate is at an epidemic high, only 25% graduated in New York.

Fifty percent of black pregnancies end in abortion. Since 1973, approximately 5 million blacks have died of AIDS, violent crimes, accidents, Cancer and heart disease combined. By far, abortion is the greatest cause of black deaths, 13 million. Blacks are committing a suicidal genocide. 

Black America, how’s that monolithic forty years of loyalty to the Democrats thing workin’ out for ya’? As God continues to give me strength, I will continue my quest for the ultimate appeal that will persuade my fellow black Americans to stop the insanity of voting Democrat.

Restoring America Project (Super-PAC) has officially announced that it will be hosting a large-scale patriotic festival in Moriarty, New Mexico. The vision for this festival, Restoring America Project says, is to bring the American people together to celebrate our liberty and freedom.

The festival is also designed to showcase and support conservative candidates who are campaigning in key swing states across the country while providing top-notch entertainment, food, and fun for the whole family. Richard Mourdock, who is a great conservative and a favorite of almost every Tea Party and conservative group, had one of those days most politicians only dream of yesterday.   Mourdock is running to replace Richard Lugar, the crown prince of the RINOs, as one of the Senators from Indiana.

So what happened?

First, Sarah Palin endorsed Mourdock.  Her endorsement, coming just days before Indiana’s primary is huge for Mourdock.

Palin wrote on her Facebook page: I join commonsense conservatives in endorsing Richard Mourdock to be the next Senator from Indiana. Conservatives of all stripes are uniting behind Richard Mourdock. It’s not just Indiana that benefits from sending the right Senator to serve for the right reasons; the nation as a whole benefits, and that is one reason why the eyes of so many around the nation are focused on the Indiana race.

Indiana deserves a conservative in the Senate who will fight for the Hoosier State, uphold our Constitution, and not just go along to get along with the vested interests of the permanent political class in D.C.

The other really good news came in the form of news that American Action Network was pulling out of the Indiana primary.   This news did not make headlines but it is hugely significant.

AAN has been supporting RINO Richard Lugar.  They were buying TV ads and using digital media to support Lugar.  They have pulled the plug on their efforts.

Officially the race between Mourdock and Lugar is too close to call.  AAN would not be pulling out if it were really that close.

Tea Party Students launch “No Youth Tax” Amendment

Posterity is a term the Founding Fathers understood well. Liberty is not a condition limited to the immediate present, but a continuous state that can be made or broken for future generations. George Washington himself advised the avoidance of debt, such that we would not throw “upon posterity the burden which we ourselves ought to bear.”

 

In a similar regard for the future, Tea Party Students has just released a “No Youth Tax Amendment” petition, proposing an amendment to the U.S. Constitution that would curtail Congressional power to load future generations with debt.

The “No Taxation Without Representation” amendment states:

“Upon the first day of the first year following the ratification of this Amendment, Congress shall not compel any citizen of the United States to pay for any taxation on the interest nor the principle of debts authorized before that citizen was eligible to vote for representation in the Congress. Only a formal Declaration of War by Congress shall override this policy, and only for war-related debts. “

‘Involuntarily indebting children and disproportionately burdening future generations with what amounts to a ‘youth tax’ is anti-American, ageist and anti-youth’ says Danny Oliver, Founder of Tea Party Students.

‘We invite every American citizen to join us as we implore members of Congress who care about our country and our future to read, revise, and ratify this Amendment.’

I’m Tea Party, Can I Vote for Romney?

With Governor Mitt Romney’s recent visit to the Philadelphia Tea Party, we now know. The Massachusetts Moderate ( as he is affectionately known ) is officially reaching out to this side of the fence. The question now becomes, Can I vote for this very obvious moderate from the North East Seaboard? Being a hard core Tea Party activist myself, let’s be honest here. Governor Mitt Romney is most assuredly not a Hard Core Right Wing rabble rouser.

I have heard all the arguments. Mitt Romney did this, he did that and then flipped flopped. To hear some Tea Party faithful tell it, this fellow is nothing short of a pancake in a suit and tie. I will concede that Mitt Romney did in fact invent the blueprint for Obama-Care. With that said, let’s do some pondering and porch sitting on this topic for a moment. One must remember a key point here. Governor Romney was just that, A GOVERNOR! While I was not there, I would have to bet that one or more of his State Legislator’s or Representative’s wrote this bill, the Rep’s then voted on it and it was sent to the Governor’s desk for signing. That is the process in which we operate in America. The last time I checked, that process is defined as a Representative Republic. That particular Legislator would have written the bill, because someone or many in his district would have requested this type of a program in their state.

I will confess here, I am writing this as most Americans would write this. I am not a Mitt Romney pro-filer or expert. I am merely looking at this from the classic 30,000 foot fly over view. I can say this with a great deal of authority. Mitt Romney was the Governor of his state.  That being said, he was acquiescing to the desires of his constituency. To be fair, the templet’s had yet to be written for a major health-care bill. Governor Romney’s state for all intents and purposes had invented the Model A for health-care. They had not written the new bill with the electric windows or cruise control. The program was designed for the state, not the nation as a whole. One other major factor here is this. THE GOVERNOR DID NOT CRAM THE BILL DOWN THE THROATS OF HIS RESIDENTS AGAINST THEIR COLLECTIVE WILL. I am sure that someone in the process had also read the bill.

Let’s now go to the meat of the issue and truly ponder this my Tea Party brethren. Governor Mitt Romney is in fact a faithful LDS member. That being said, I do know something about the LDS faith. I know that these people are extremely patriotic individuals. Their faith teaches them to be this way. THEY LOVE AMERICA is the bottom line. The faith also teaches them to love their families, love God and protect their neighbor and friends. Mitt Romney was taught as a child to be frugal with his money. He was taught to serve his community, serve his family and church. In the end, Romney is very near the classic definition of an apple pie, baseball loving, Chevy driving, patriotic American that wears white under garments. It doesn’t get much more American than that.

On the other hand, let’s take a close look at the other option. We know that Obama very nears the point of hatred for America. He has destroyed our debt to income balance sheet. He has insulted our nation on a global scale, crammed a monster down our throats with Obama-Care. He has transferred hundreds of billions of your money to Arabian countries and he has scammed hundreds of millions for his bundler buddies for green energy. He has allowed terrorist to walk across the borders and he has allowed the Black Panther thugs to go unpunished for voter intimidation. I could go on and on here, but you get the idea.

Now, what are my choices? An unqualified American hating criminal or an apple pie eating, flag waving patriotic moderate.

What is so troubling to me is this. I have heard hundreds of Tea Party folks tell me, ” If the nominee is Romney, I am not showing up to vote “. Come on brothers and sisters. Are you serious? Not voting is about as ANTI-American as it get’s. Not to mention the fact that not voting means a vote for Obama. Is that really what you want?

No, Romney was not the Tea Party pick. But he is light years better than Obama. This is one time where I officially plea with you ” DO NOT TAKE A MORAL STAND ” at this time. Get out, get to work for this fellow and help him get elected. You know, I know, we all know that America cannot take another four years of Barack Obama.

As a black conservative Tea Party patriot, I have been struggling with what I should do, if anything, in response to the rash of incidents of racial violence resulting from the Martin/Zimmerman case. Folks, a great evil is running the show in our country right now.

Rather than showing pictures of 6’3” seventeen-year-old Trayvon Martin, nearly every TV news broadcast features pictures of Trayvon as an adorable little boy in his little league football uniform. This is done by design to further the media’s storyline: innocent-little-black-boy-murdered-by-evil-racist-white-man. Zimmerman is not white. He is Hispanic. I do not know what transpired between George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin. I do know that the Race Industry has gone to extraordinary, dishonest lengths to promote its innocent-little-black-boy-murdered-by-evil-racist-white-man storyline.

Even president Obama despicably and masterfully fueled the flames of racial hatred by saying, “If I had a son, he would look like Trayvon”. http://bit.ly/HTrpcO As a seasoned professional politician, president Obama surely knew his comment would up the ante of black rage.

So yes, as Christian and as patriot, I wondered, what should I do to help calm the storm of Martin/Zimmerman related racial violence? Should I rally black conservatives to denounce the violence and call for unity at a press conference? No, the liberal biased mainstream media would not cover such a press conference. Non-victim-minded blacks do not fit the media-desired image of America. Blacks who love their country without resentment toward fellow Americans who are white are as repulsive to the mastream media as showing Dracula the cross.

Well, what about a racial peace rally – blacks and whites standing together, singing songs and talking about unity. No, Obama’s SEIU thugs and/or the New Black Panthers could exploit the event by showing up to assault patriots.

Remember Kenneth Gladney, the black conservative who was beaten and sent to the emergency room by SEIU thugs at a town hall meeting during the health care debates? http://bit.ly/OCx7g Many believe Gladney’s beating was in response to Obama White House’s clarion call to “push back twice as hard” and get in the faces of those opposing Obamacare.

The mainstream media will never tell the truth about black-on-white crime. When reporting incidents of black-on-white violence, the media walks a tightrope, bending over backwards to avoid mentioning race. And yet I heard a report on the radio in which the reporter, without hesitation, up front and in your face said five “black” men were shot by a “white” male in a white pickup truck. This type of story fits the racist image that the media desires to portray of white America. According to the media, blacks are ALWAYS the victims and never the aggressors. http://bit.ly/IBgnXa

So how do we right-thinking, decent Americans counter all the racial hate, evil and violence, fueled by media and the Obama administration, that’s contaminating our great country?

Mary is away, up north visiting family. Thus, I found myself in the grocery store checkout line with my shopping cart one-third full. An elderly white gentleman in line behind me had two items. “Excuse me sir – you can go in front of me.” He gleefully replied, “Thank you very much.” After the cashier had bagged his items and given the elderly white gentleman his change, he thanked me again.

I thought, that’s it! For now, until God leads me otherwise, I can simply continue doing what I, along with millions of my fellow Americans, do every day: seize every opportunity to spread racial harmony and kindness. I know that sounds corny, but I know it is the right thing to do.

Despite what the Race Industry would have you believe, a majority of Americans are not at each other throats, divided along racial lines. Most Americans are over “the race thing.” Americans live, work and play together just fine. Interracial marriage is far from being the big deal it was in the past. Unfortunately, it is the mission of the mainstream media, the Obama administration and race profiteers to keep the Race Industry alive and profitable. These people (race instigators and exploiters) are evil.

Therefore, it is up to us – proud responsible Americans – to continue sowing seeds of racial harmony, brotherhood and peace.

Unlike in the last election cycle, Sen. Jim DeMint of South Carolina is maintaining a low profile as he appears to fulfill a promise to Senate Republican leaders that he won’t oppose any sitting GOP senators through his Senate Conservatives Fund.

But Senate Republican aides and campaign-finance experts say DeMint has reneged on that promise by using a stealth funding mechanism to target Sen. Dick Lugar, an Indiana Republican who’s been in office since 1977 but now is facing a stiff tea party-backed primary challenge.

Team DeMint, the South Carolina Republican’s campaign political action committee, last month transferred $500,000 to Club for Growth, an influential free market advocacy group based in Washington with longstanding close ties to DeMint.

Club for Growth last week started running a hard-hitting TV ad in Indiana, accusing Lugar of having backed tax increases, along with federal bailouts of Wall Street bankers and mortgage giant Fannie Mae.

“Call Dick Lugar,” the ad ends. “Tell him — no more tax hikes and no more debt.”

Lugar recently voted against two top DeMint initiatives: codifying in law the current moratorium on spending earmarks and preventing U.S. funds from helping to bail out debt-laden European governments.

The anti-earmark amendment, defeated by a 59-40 Senate vote Feb. 2, was crafted by Republican Sen. Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania, the former Club for Growth head whom DeMint helped elect to the Senate in 2010 with $304,000 in donations from his Senate Conservatives Fund.

In its analysis of 36 key votes dating to 2003, DeMint’s fund ranks only three of the other 46 GOP senators — Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe of Maine, and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska — as more liberal than Lugar.

Jennifer Duffy, a Senate analyst with the widely read Cook Political Report, said DeMint’s highly unusual transfer of such a large sum of money from his re-election PAC to a group that’s made Lugar its top Republican target this year received wide notice in GOP Senate offices.

“The fact that DeMint used his campaign account to take this action looks far more personal and drives the perception that he has gone back on his promise not to go after his Republican colleagues,” Duffy told McClatchy.

Two senior Senate Republican aides, who requested that they not be named in order to provide candid views, gave similar accounts.
