Poor Fred Willard can’t seem to catch a break. After just being arrested last night, today Willard has lost his job at PBS. Executives behind the new “Antiques Roadshow”, “Market Warriors” were quick to act today after hearing of Willard’s arrest, prompting the decision to sever contracts and fire Willard from his job narrating the new series.
The arrest itself occurred at 8:50 pm Wednesday night when LAPD officer Rosario Herrera was called to the Tiki Theatre where Willard had been seen “engaging in a lewd act”. He was later booked and released.
Jeanne Hopkins, a spokesperson for PBS said in a statement, “Given the unfortunate news reported today, effective immediately, Fred Willard no longer will be involved with the ‘Market Warriors’ series.”
Okay. Never let a personal crisis go to waste.
